Experienced/Trustworthy Doggo Lover

Pet care experience

Hello my name is Valerie. I was a certified paralegal for 32 years and retired in January 2020. For the next chapter of my life, I wanted to pursue something that would be truly gratifying and bring me great joy. It was an easy decision. What could be better than assisting people with their pets! I have had experience caring for a total of four doggos over 24 years and experience with cats when friends went on vacation. My initial furkids were a Pekingese and Golden Retriever that have since passed. These were my “children” before having human babies. Currently, we have a Cockapoo, Marley-Cooper, and a Heinz 57 rescue, Luna-Bean. I came to the realization, long ago, that pets are the BEST! They provide love and loyalty that is beyond measure. I firmly believe in lots of TLC, play and walks. My fur-kids are my family and that care will be extended to any pets that I am lucky enough to care for through Rover. I look forward to offering my assistance to your family. God bless! 🐶💕🐾

My guys instantly connected with Valerie & were very comfortable with her. She showed them great affection and attention, both inside and in our yard. It is evident that she genuinely cares for dogs. Valerie is very responsive and communicative. She provided very detailed summaries and lots of photos from her visits. Having her as my pet sitter put my mind at ease, knowing my guys were comfortable and well taken care of in my absence. Valerie is awesome! So if you need a reliable sitter who will treat your “kids” well, look no further - just choose Valerie, you’ll be glad you did!

As a deployed pet parent who's across the world, I love Valerie and I have never even met her!!! Her report cards are my favorite as she accurately describes my beagle every time and they make me laugh. She is very detail oriented and lets us know when my dog did not take his morning medicine. Valerie goes out of her way to get him to take his meds and I am very grateful for that. I also love that she gives him LOTS of blueberries at any opportunity, which is great because that's the only treats he's allowed. Valerie is our go-to sitter and I always know once I get the email that my husband booked her, that my pup is in good hands and well loved!!!

I was nervous about this app but once meeting Valerie, I couldn’t be more happy to have a pet sitter! She did an amazing job. It was a great feeling knowing I could enjoy my vacation without having to worry about my fur babies. I love her so much 🥹

I listen to all the instructions received in caring for the pets and all visits will be done at the pet(s) home. For those pets that I walk, I confirm the pets attitude towards other dogs, cats, squirrels, children, etc.

Information Valerie J. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if there are any medical concerns I need to be aware of. Secondly, their temperament, behavior, routine and favorite things.

A typical day

I will walk the doggos in their neighborhood. I usually take my doggos on 1 to 2 milers and would do the same for the doggos I cared for (health and weather permitting). Fun activities would be whatever the doggo was accustomed to.
