Pet care experience
Currently, I have a young wonderful border collie since she was a puppy. However, my experience with dogs, as an adult, started 10 years ago when I rescued a shih-tzu whom experienced neglect and abuse during his first two years. After coming home, the biggest changes occurred after the first year do to our love, care, patience and respect. Before owning a dog and after, we had care for multiple friends/family pets. Many of whom continue trusting us every time they are out of town.

Valen is a very nice and cordial person. Pro: - she likes to do an intro call and discuss what to expect - she requested pet’s vaccinations records which many dont do here - Melanie came home safe and healthy Cons - not very interactive via message I received updates based on request and they were sent after 3-5 hours of request. I would recommend for future bookings a morning picture or midday picture can give your clients peace of mind. - for drop off and pick up she did not stick to the window requested, I had to work around her schedule and mine which was a little inconvenient. I would recommend confirming 1-2 hr window availability during booking - based on her availability and response time for pictures and such I am assuming my pet was alone most of the time. She does have a yard where pets can be, I work at home so my pet it used to been with company, however during the weekend if I go out and need to spend all day out my pet is used to been home alone. Overall: this is my 2 time using someone different than my usal person here in rover and I may be used to the frequent interactions without request Thank you Valen for taking care of my baby.

I trust Val with my dog’s LIFE! Literally my little one nearly died from heart failure. Val was a life saver, she urgently managed the situation, took my dog to urgent care, then emergency hospital, and watched over her for several days and medicated her while I was away on an overseas trip. If it wasn’t for Val, I am not sure if my dog would still be living here today. She has a big heart, meticulous, careful and proactive when problems arise. Valen was great! Quick responses, sent pictures of my fur baby. Huge yard so I know my pup had the time of her life running around all day. I will definitely be coming back! ☺️

Information Valen M. would like to know about your pet
The number one request is that any dog that comes to stay with us, weather it is for a few weeks to an hour, MUST be small kids friendly (kids are 4 and 6yo) and pet friendly. It is not really about the size of the dog but personality. We will not be able to provide proper care for a dog that dislikes kids or pets. It is also important that you inform us of any needs the dog has to make sure that we can fulfill those needs. The goal is for us to be a perfect match.
A typical day
When your dog stays with us you can be sure that your fluffy kid will have fun. From running in the yard, to playing with Mila, to jumping with my kiddos, to cuddleling with all of us.

Availability
I am currently working as a contract, I manage my schedules, and work from home. Regardless of the circumstances, your pet will never be alone since our dog will always keep your dog/puppy company. I am usually home except when I have to run errands.
