Friendly and competent animal-lover

Pet care experience

I was the type of child who made powerpoints to explain to my parents why we should get a dog. These included research on which breed best fit our home life and a list of responsibilities I would have if we got a dog. Nowadays I'm owned by 2 cockerpoos who I miss dearly (currently living in student accommodation) and I'm often found saying hi to any animal I come across, anything from a friend's dog to a cute squirrel in the park - so I'm confident in saying I'm the right person for the job! I'm currently completing my Masters part-time at Nottingham Trent University. The coursework heavy nature of my degree means I can work from pretty much anywhere and at any time. This combined with my lowered contact hours means I have flexibility for looking after your pet(s) that I can fit in around my day. I'm based in city centre and the excellent travel connections means I should still be able to come to where you are despite the fact I don't drive. I understand that every pet has their own personality, likes and dislikes, as well as different owners prioritising different things. I am happy to work with what suits the best interests of your pet and yourself, since as their pawrent, you know them best. The pets I have listed on my profile are my pets that I lived with for the years preceding my moving to Nottingham for uni. However, I am currently living in student accommodation, so I will not be socialising my pets with yours at any point.

Tyler has been walking Milo for a while now and Milo loves it! They have a really special bond and he is always so excited when it’s time for walkies. Tyler is reliable and we are grateful for all the help and will continue to book on a reoccurring basis :)

Tyler has looked after my cats, and her neighbour's dogs several times. Cats love sitting on her lap, and she is great with dogs. My cats took a liking to her pretty quickly after meeting her, and they are now great friends! I have been on dog walks with Tyler before, and the way she is with dogs would make her perfect for this job.

I do not currently live with the pets listed on my profile! I will not be caring for pets in my home, but if I'm caring for pets in your home, I will be sure to ask how you normally keep them safe, and measures you already have in place (baby gates etc) and any tendencies your pet has: if I'm going to be looking after a Houdini wannabe then I'd like to know! I understand that a pet isn't just a pet, but a family member and a lifeline, so I will take utmost care in caring for yours and keeping them safe.

Information Tyler A. would like to know about your pet

I am comfortable with any dog breed, but I would like to know beforehand of your dog is the type to jump up a lot and if they pull on walks (where applicable). I have mild back pain that walking does help with, but if I'm going to be walking a bigger doggo then I can put a heat pad on first!

A typical day

I'm happy to let dogs sniff and explore where they like on walks (as long as it's safe of course) rather than pulling them along with me. I love seeing how excited dogs get with mental stimulation and I know how important this is for your pet alongside physical exercise.

I'm currently working part-time in city centre, and I have 5 contact hours at uni during the week. This means that my schedule is fairly flexible, I can pop by to check on your pet before/after work or lectures and schedule my library trips around any work I have.
