- Butch is a 1 year, 8 mo. old German Shepherd Dog in Madison, IN
Butch is a white German Shepherd. Though still a puppy, he is very lazy. He loves to relax but is ready to go when it's time to play. He likes to swim, go for hikes, and loves to play ball. He will even play by himself. He may play with 3 or 4 balls at a time. He also loves to play chase, keep away, and wrestle with hos doggy pals. At 4 months old he made besties with our Great Dane neighbor in VA Beach. In colorado, he liked to play chase with our toy poodle neighbor. Butch will play with any dog that let's him despite size or breed. We travel often so he adapts easily in new environments. Though he spends nearly every hour of rhe day at my side, He does not have separation anxiety. He may whine for the first few minutes of my departure, out of confusion, but this is easily remedied with a distraction. He is highly treat motivated. He does have digestive sensitivities so I will provide appropriate treats. I always encourage treating good behavior. So, I do ask that he earn the treat. Even if as simple as sitting or offering a paw. He has recently been assessed and awarded the Canine Good Citizen and also a Novice Trick Dog Ribbon. He is capable of performing many commands. He is very smart. You may even trach him a new one, if you'd like. He is a great dog and I'm sure that y'all will get along great. (References available upon request)
