Pet care experience
Hi! I'm a 31 year old runner who loves to run with dogs (or walk with little ones). I grew up with dogs and was the designated dog sitter at my old office. I've worked with horses my whole life, so I'm comfortable with big dogs, dogs that pull, or get excited easily. I'm actually a bit of a cat person, so I'm very good about not spoiling dogs with treats or extra food (their cute begging eyes have no effect on me). Of course, if you're okay with them being spoiled, I'm happy to oblige! Because I grew up on a ranch, I'm very good at noticing if an animal is feeling sick or is a little off and I'm good at giving medicine or other medical care. Lastly, I work remotely, so I am available any time. A testimonial from my coworker: "She's never this normal when we come back from a trip! It's like she didn't miss us at all."

This is our third time Tristan watched our cat and everything turned out great.

I'll care for your pet just like I take care of mine: talking to them, petting/scratching where they like, and making sure that they are alert and oriented. I'll take notice if they aren't eating/drinking regularly or are otherwise acting oddly. Around the house, I will make sure that all dangerous items (plants, cords, cleaning products, other things that pets like to nibble on) are away or out of reach.

I'd like to know any houses, areas, or other dogs that your dog doesn't like in your neighborhood. I had a client who once provided a map of all the fountains in Capitol Hill, and which ones were 'too deep' and which were 'just right' for jumping in. I do not have any breed preferences.
A typical day
I'll ask you where the best places for walks are, and how long we should walk for. If the weather is bad, I can find a creative way to get your dog to go outside or burn some energy inside.

Availability
I work full time but am remote, so I can typically move meetings around or make space in my schedule for a 30 minute walk. Before or after work, I can accommodate any requests.
