I have worked with Lynne Bengston and Safe Hand's Animal Rescue in Minneapolis since they opened (which I believe is 10 years now). I've done fundraising, fostering and adoption for them,, but mainly I've been a voice for the rescue group to get dogs fostered and adopted. I have fostered several dogs for them and often times a "foster failure" as I ended up keeping the babies. I currently have a lovely black lab mix named Millie and a senior hospice dog named Wally and we'd love to care for your baby too. I have to say though I work 40 hours a week and own a condo so your baby must be potty trained and fairly well mannered. I take my dogs out for walks twice a day, they are not just let out in the yard. I prefer weekend work but we can work out week days as well under the right circumstances. Also, I'm very focused on safety for all the dogs in my home (mine and the dog I'm caring for). I have the ability to section off my home into 3 areas if you'd prefer the dogs be in separate spaces when I'm not home. The only reason I say no dogs on the bed is because I allowed it all the way up until I woke up one morning with a wood tick bite and had to be put on antibiotics for a month. Yikes! But Millie still sneaks up at times ;-) Also, if you book a month or more in advance, I can likely request to work from home that whole week!
