Vet Tech’s Home Away From Home ❤️
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Trina, I'm 28 years old and I am a previous veterinary technician assistant with animal care experience Thank you for coming across my page and considering me to take care of your pets. I put my profile away due to personal reasonings. But now, I am ready to take on taking care of animals full time! Not only am I passionate about veterinary medicine, I have a huge passion of loving and caring for animals. I have a certificate in Animal Science and have worked in previous boarding facilities. I have a background in animal behavior, medication, and nutrition. I’m also educated on certain diseases like kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus and heart disease. Have a pet with any medical issues? Don’t worry. I am more than comfortable of giving them medication or specific diets at the correct time. I also have experience of working with Brachycephalic breeds as well! Does your dog have a partial ACL tear? No worries. I have experience in caring for pets with joint issues. Thanks to my schooling in animal science, I have experience with taking care of chickens, mini goats, hamsters, gerbils, turtles, hamsters, birds, fish, ferrets, rabbits, and chinchillas! I love exotic animals and enjoy caring for them as well. I also am open to helping with any training your dog may need. From young to old, nothing is too much of a challenge for me. Each animal is unique and special in their own way.

House Sitting: Typically I do like doing a meet and greet with new families for a few reasons: - Builds a sense of trust between me and the owners. I genuinely care about owners trusting me and getting to know me (and vice versa!). I really do enjoy getting to know owners and their families because I love making new bonds! - Allows your pet some familiarity with me. The animal must feel comfortable (and owner) if I am coming into their home and staying there. The way their pets feel around me matters a lot! -Let’s me understand the layout of the home and what their normal schedule is like. I do not have a pet limit for house sitting and am willing to care for all animals, no matter what size, age, or species. Whatever your animals needs are, I want to follow their schedule so nothing feels off! -x- Boarding: (Small breed dogs or elderly dogs only) Boarding I do not require a meet and greet, however, if you would like to visit my home, you are more than welcome to come by! Because I have other animals in my home, I do require your pet to be up to date on vaccinations as well as okay with other animals. Both my dog and cat are very friendly and enjoy other pets! They love making new friends! And since this is my fulltime career, your pets will never be alone (unless I need to step outside for reasons, of course). Unless stated otherwise, our pets are allowed on furniture and in my home, we love letting our pets sleep with us. But if your pet does sleep in their kennel, there is more than enough space to set it up where they can sleep peacefully.

Information Trina P. would like to know about your pet
Let me know ahead of time if your pets have health issues or is on medication. I am more than willing to accommodate and learn what your pets needs are and what I need to look for. If your dog does have behavioral issues such as anxiety, resource guarding, or aggression when triggered, that’s also no problem too. Every dog needs to feel safe and comfortable in my presence, and especially in their own home. Their comfort is my first priority! Your pet will be going outside and/or on walks if requested. I do recommend your pet to be on a flea&tick prevention as your pet will be in an environment where they are present. Ticks do still live in cooler environments! Summertime is Heartworm season, and your pet will have exposure to this being outside. In the winter, it also helps with intestinal parasite coverage. I highly recommend your animal to be on preventions, or know the risks of your animal not being on these preventions. I also require your pet to be up to date on: RABIES, DISTEMPER/PARVO, and BORDETELLA for dogs, and RABIES and FELINE DISTEMPER for cats. Please feel free to to ask me about preventions, why it is important to be up to date on vaccinations and how you can get them at your local vet office.
A typical day
Each and every animal is unique based on their breed, age and personality. They will be fed on time, brought outside when they need to go (potty pads are definitely okay too) Dogs require mental and physical stimulation. So wether it’s playing in the backyard, playing with toys, filling up the baby pool to splash around to cool off, or going on a big long walk in the neighborhood and neighboring parks, your pet will have a lot of fun! At night, we like to either sit in the backyard and stargaze, or cuddle up on the couch and watch tv together. My life has always revolves around animals, and my day will revolve only around your pet(s)!
