I have five years of experience cat and dog sitting for clients both at my home and in the homes of clients. I have enjoyed the company of pets ever since my family first adopted a cat when I was 12.

Trevor did an excellent job taking care of my pup, Olive. She was healthy and happy when I returned and my apartment was also left in great condition. I appreciated the periodic updates while I was away and Trevor's willingness to navigate an unexpected power outage and maintenance visit.
Trevor was fantastic! He was responsive, provided regular updates, and took great care of our two dogs, including our anxious pandemic pup. We would definitely book him again!
We've had Trevor look after our pup a few times now and have been very pleased with the care our dog gets, the updates we receive, and the attention Trevor gives to our routine. We drop off a happy dog and pick up a happy dog, which makes us happy.

I find most often pets are most comfortable cared for in their own home. I welcome this opportunity. Alternatively, my apartment offers a very safe and welcoming environment for all pets. Its spaciousness will allow your pet enough room to play and exercise indoors as needed. I only host pets from the same family. My clients can rest assured I do not host overlapping bookings so your pet(s) receives the individualized care they are used to at home.

I would seek to learn the most about your pet as possible. This would include any dietary restrictions, habits, typical eating/walking schedule, medications, and known triggers. If your pet has been watched before by different sitters I also find it helpful to know if there were any lessons learned through prior experience. If your pet needs extra time to get comfortable with me I welcome the opportunity to schedule a complimentary meet-and-greet prior to accepting the booking.
A typical day
I seek to expand the horizons of the dogs I watch and walk. If the pet is comfortable I would seek to introduce them to new smells, scenes, and experiences. I live one block from Meridian Park Hill which offers plenty of green space to explore. For high energy dogs, I enjoy taking them on walks through the hilly streets of Kalorama. There are two dog parks near my home which may be of interest to your dog, but for safety reasons I do not take dogs there without the explicit permission of a pet parent.

Availability
I have a very flexible schedule, working exclusively at home during the week. I live alone and do not have any pets of my own so your pet would be center of attention during its stay. Since I live alone, I do occasionally need to leave the apartment to run errands/get groceries/be social. Your pet must to be comfortable being left alone for at least 1-2 hours/day. I have plenty of space for crates and strongly encourage pet parents to bring them if your pet is best crated while home alone.
