Hi! *I no longer have the house from many of my photos since I moved, the first 4 photos are current* My name is Travis and I have a 6 year old German Shepherd-Lab mix named Chase. I’m 30 years old and we hope to meet you and your dog(s) soon! I did Rover in the Pacific Northwest in the past, and we recently moved to St. Lawrence County. We have 10 acres of property in a wooded rural setting, with a large open area around the house for playing (unfenced, with an overhead tether line) and a beautiful path extending the length of the property through the woods where I take my dog on leashed walks (we often see deer in the evenings). Our house is set far back from the road and even farther from neighbors, making it a very quiet environment. I can do dog care full time at home (I do not leave dogs unattended) and can provide 24 hour care in your home, as well as fun, attentive walks, and plenty of interactive play time! I do have my dog with me at all times, he is very friendly and well socialized from frequent dog parks since he was 6 months old and he is used to having guest dogs stay with us from Rover. He is not neutered, so territorial or aggressive dogs may react poorly to that and for that reason I always do a meet and greet with potential clients and their dog(s). Chase has never reacted with aggression to aggression from other dogs, he has always shown submission and given space in those circumstances. He always wants to play with and is curious about new dogs, but he is also well versed in taking things slowly with hesitant dogs. I have had dogs in the family since I was 5 years old. In middle and high school I did some dog sitting and walking for family friends on a regular basis. I also took a dog training class with my last dog, a Shetland Sheepdog, and know proper walking techniques and commands. I have experience with almost every common dog breed as well as their varying social issues and anxieties. I am thorough with following care instructions and routines. I keep my house and yard as dog friendly as possible and will do the same in yours. Most importantly I treat every dog in my care as if they were my own.
