When I was younger I didn't have very many friends in my neighborhood but one day when I came home from school I had a rottweiler named Titus sitting in my living room. He was the first dog I ever had and an amazing one at that. He not only was my first pet but he was also my best friend! We did everything together, we would play, I would attempt to walk him but even though I was smaller he would walk me, he would always sleep at the foot of my bed and I would try to teach him new tricks. We learned a lot from each other but it was from him I grew to love dogs. Fast forward a few years, a friend of mine and his family would go on vacations several times a year and my friends mom asked if I could take care of Bingo the Dachshund and Lady the Jack Russel Terrier. Although a bit nervous I accepted because I have never actually been in charge of watching anyone else's dogs before. I would walk them, feed them, play with them and check on them several times through out the day to make sure they were okay and everything was in order. Although as I said I was a bit nervous about watching Bingo and Lady I enjoyed it and continued to watch them every time my friends family went on vacations. In present day another friend of mine has two dogs, their names are Cherokee, a mixed breed and a rescue dog from hurricane Katrina and Raven, a pit bull and German Shepard mix. They are awesome ladies! Raven is not a lap dog, yet loves to sit on your lap (which I find hilarious) and Cherokee loves to run around. I had the pleasure of watching both of them on a few occasions to and they were well behaved and sweet. Hanging out with dogs and getting to know their personalities has always been cool to me because just like humans no two dogs are alike and they all have their own individual unique personalities to discover!
