Eat, play, love!

Pet care experience

I’m returning from a long hiatus. Born and raised around all types of dogs, I'm used to just about everything. I took a break from Rover when I started to work full time at a vet clinic as a kennel tech this last year, but it interfered too much with my school unfortunately. As I mentioned before, I worked as a kennel tech. This experience allows to be a caregiver that can go above and beyond for your pup. I’m familiar with senior pets, as well as ones with special needs or restrictions. I’ve learned to identify when something just isn’t right. I also know a handful of symptoms to look out for that can leave you feeling a little bit more secure when your cherished ones are in my care. After Harvey hit, I worked at the NRG area where temporary animal shelter had been put up after so many dogs had been displaced. Before that, I had worked three years at a doggy daycare/boarding facility that required I watched 12+ unleashed dogs a day for extended periods of time in another state before we moved. My responsibility there was to care for dogs labeled as "high maintenance", but I do not believe there is such a thing. Any dog requires work and some just require a little extra attention and care. I made sure everyone left just as they came, with a toothy grin and a wagging tail. In addition, I walked each of them, often in groups, though that depended a lot of their individual personalities. They were of all sizes, ages, and tempermants. I believe that a dog needs love, especially when they're away from their owners. They get lonely just like us. So I have no problems adapting to a dog's personality and learning their behavior patterns & such.

Travis was very flexible with his availability for drop-off/pick-up and quick to respond to any communication. His dog Truman is friendly and got along great with ours.

Information Travis S. would like to know about your pet

I'd like to know their tempermant and how they work with other dogs, as well as if they have any aggression issues. I would also like to know if they have any medical issues and/or require medication. Please make sure to bring their supplies including food, favorite blankets, medication, etc. when they are expected to board, as well as inform me of their current vaccination status.

A typical day

I live near a lot of parks, as well as one specifically for dogs, so we could go there. For dogs that are anxious in populated settings, we can take a stroll around the neighborhood or find a spot with less people/dogs.
