All Animals are welcome. I have two wonderful Golden Retrievers, one sweetheart of a Yellow Lab and One crazy Min Pin/Jack Russell mix. My Goldens are very gentle and love to play with other dogs. I have also fostered over 90 dogs in the past 9 years with three different rescue organizations. Many of my past fosters still come to stay and play when their owners go on vacation. We all benefit from our foster dogs. My dogs enjoy the non-stop company, and I enjoy watching my fosters leave their past behind while they evolve into the dogs they were meant to be. Fostering has taught me that ALL dogs are great; they just need to have somebody who loves and understands them. I do this because I enjoy dogs! Now that my kids are almost grown up, I find myself with extra time on my hands. Sure I could clean my house more, read, watch television, exercise, or nothing at all, but what fun is that? Caring for and watching dogs gives me brain stimulation and exercise all in one:) No membership to join or monthly fees! My dogs enjoy the pack setting and so do I. When your dog(s) come to stay with us it will be like going to their favorite dog park. There is always a group to play with. If your dog doesn't want to play, that's okay too. There is room to be alone, but still be able to see everyone. About this sitter: In my youth I worked for a pet store, kennel, and veterinary/emergency clinic. My dream is to one day own my own Doggie Daycare. In the mean time, I have made my home as dog friendly as possible. The garage is carpeted and outfitted with agility tunnels and toys for super fun play time. I have a full finished walkout basement where we stay when we're indoors and we are located on 4 beautiful acres in the woods. Perfect tranquil setting for your pups enjoyment. When your dog(s) stays with us, they will be cared for one on one without all the noise, stress, and distraction of a traditional kennel. For your comfort we provide around the clock care making their stay with us as pleasant as possible. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment where your pup can let off any excess energy and just be a DOG. We provide the crate, so all you have to bring is food and their favorite bed or blankie. Sounds great, right? Come see for yourself! We are a family of two adults who are home full time. Our dogs are alone very little. When no supervision is available, I do crate all pups individually in our walk out basement. It has two French doors letting in natural light and there is always classical music playing for relaxation in the background. The safety, happiness, and well being of all the dogs are our main priorities. Please note my rate is for a 24 hour stay. There will be an additional charge of $2.00 per hour per dog for anything over that. We are also very flexible with pick up and drop off times in order to meet your schedule. All pups must be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccination. Please bring a copy of their vet records with you. Why I love dog sitting I have been an animal lover all my life. I adopted Romeo 9 years ago. He was my first Golden and was so amazing that I wanted more. I started fostering with As Good As Gold and have loved every minute of it. My kids wanted to experience other breeds, so 4 years ago we started fostering with Safely Home Canine Rescue. It has been a rewarding experience for the whole family. I highly recommend every dog lover to try it. Meet my pets We have two Siamese cats also. They are not as dog crazy as I am, so you will probably not see them at all. About my yard We have a beautiful backyard that overlooks the woods. Plenty of sun and shade to play in.
