I'm in my mid 40s and recently relocated to Mount Airy, and consider living and being with furry faces to be one of the great joys of life! Animals have been the highlight and central focus of most of my life--I grew up on a horse farm, and have been the proud mama of horses, dogs, cats, ferrets, llamas, and a loving long-term caretaker of horses, donkeys, chickens, pigs, and goats. Since my last beloved dog passed, I have been enjoying caring for other people's pets. I have just returned to life as a student, which leaves me plenty of time (and desire!) to love, enjoy and entertain your pets as though they were my own. All the years of my life that I had my many beloved pets, I always wished I could find ME as a petsitter!

My last dog was rescued from a horrific life--he was absolutely wonderful but had seriously challenging health and behavior issues. He taught me so much about being a better person in the world, and also how to be keenly aware of how my behavior and my energy affects others. I spent my entire time with him studying various dog training and behavior modification styles so I became a pretty savvy dog handler for a layperson. While I'm far from a dog trainer, I'm happy to help with basic manners if asked, otherwise I'm happy to follow whatever your protocol is with your dog.

Obviously the focus here on Rover.com is dogs, but I love and am happy to care for all kinds of animals!
