Can't Wait to Sit Your Pup

I’m just going to come out and say it: Dogs are the best! I love how loyal, loving and playful they are and they remind me of little kids -- no matter how old they are. I love how they will be there for you until the end and will never turn away and for that reason I love working with Rover taking care of other people’s pups. I have a dog, Xander, who is pretty great. Outside of caring for Xander, I have dog sat for others so I’m comfortable understanding what a dog need to make sure they are comfortable and feeling cared for and I’m happy to look after any breed. I strive to make sure pups I watch feel protected, safe and have lots of fun. Plus, they get plenty of daily doses of love from me! Outside of friendly pups, I love cats so if you need help there as well you can count on me! I also think ferret are really cute, although I don’t have any experience caring for them.

I don't have breed preferences when it comes to caring for dogs, but I do like to have a meet and greet to make sure that your pup and I can meet and start to create a bond. I like to bring treats to the meet and greet (as long as that’s OK), as I think that helps to initiate a bond between your pup and I and let them know I am friendly and ready to care for them. I also like to know your pet’s routine and if there are any special instructions I need to follow while they are in my care.
A typical day
I spend my free time working out and training Xander -- I’m happy to work with your pup, too! When I’m taking care of your dog, I like to keep them on a walking route that they are familiar or comfortable with and I want to make sure if we deviate from their routine that they are comfortable. Our mornings would start out with a potty break, a walk, maybe a little playtime and then some food and, if needed, some grooming. Afterward, we would relax and take a nap and then stretch our legs again after dinner before we hit the hay for the night.
