I am a former dog owner and a trained off site dog handler who volunteers with the ARL. I have some flexibility and availability during the months of August and September as I get ready to start a new job. I will try to keep my calendar updated to that availability. I treat all my pets like they are members of the family. I had a dog for 10 years and I have had cats for 25 years. The dog pictured is my boyfriends. She doesn't live with me but I often "steal" her to hang out with me. I am a runner so if your dog likes to run I can take them for a run or if your dog is more laid back, we will go for a walk instead. I am available for cat sitting services as well! Boarding policies: I do require that your dog be crate trained and you bring their crate for boarding purposes. The crate will only be used if we have potty accidents in my house while I am gone. I understand that they may not have accidents at home but sometimes they can be anxious in a new environment and behave differently. Again this will only be used if they have had an accident while I am gone and I need to be gone again. Otherwise, they will have free reign of the house. I do have 2 cats but neither of them could care less about dogs being in my house. They don't even hiss at them. PLEASE BE HONEST about your dog's exposure and behavior around cats. No one, including your dog, will have a good time if I have to keep after them to not chase or attack my cats!! Drop off and pick up times need to be set in advance.
