Pet care experience
I have owned and cared for pets my entire life at my parents ranch and I now care for my 2 cats, 1 dog and 1 horse. I am dog/cat CPR and Pet First Aid Certified with PetTech. I have experience volunteering for Animal Rescue groups including Chicago Animal Care and Control, Heartland Animal Rescue and Players for Pits so I also understand the importance of keeping a pet safe when both at home and out for walks. I have also cared for dogs/cats with special needs and can help provide pet parents peace of mind that their unique pets will always be well cared for. I am currently working full time at an animal shelter during the day so for overnight sits I will be gone 6-8 hours of the day. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Traci was wonderful with my hounds! They looked even better when I came back than when I left. She was very communicative, sent plenty of pictures, and was very thoughtful about their safety and happiness. It made my time away much more enjoyable knowing my pups were in good hands.
I truly cannot say enough positive things about Traci and the care that she has provided my 9 week old puppy. Traci has now been a sitter for our puppy, Olive, 3 times and goes above and beyond what I ever thought a sitter would do. She is extremely professional and went out of her way to meet my husband and I the day before she watched Olive for the first time. She has a ton of experience taking care of dogs and cats and made us instantly feel comfortable. The first time she watched Olive, she took her on numerous walks, played with her and taught her how to sit, lay down and climb stairs. My husband and I were blown away considering we had not even began to teach Olive any tricks or commands. Every time she watches Olive, she sends my husband and I adorable pictures throughout the day and keeps us fully informed about how Olive is doing. Traci has truly been a life saver for my husband and I who both work full time. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!
Traci watched the Bellassasalane pack (3 large dogs) for over 2 weeks at our home. From our first contact to the day we got back Traci was both professional and clearly passionate about animals and their care. She took the time on pre-stay visits to get to know our dogs, their individual personalities and asked a lot of questions about their care and our wishes as "parents." We received regular updates with photos and she was attentive to some minor medical concerns. They say a picture is worth a thousand words....our dogs were loving every minute they had with Traci!!! I would recommend Traci to friends and family based on the care she provided to our pups, the understanding she had for us as "parents" and her professionalism. Overall a FANTASTIC experience.
Traci was awesome my doggies were in great hands. My neighbor told me she had them outside a lot playing with them. When I got home my house was in great shape unlike some sitters before. I highly recommend her and will use her again for sure!

Helpful to understand normal routine as well as likes and dislikes. Some dogs might have things that cause them to be reactive so it's always helpful to know and understand those aspects of a pet. Also if your pet is special needs it's helpful to have detailed directions on what is needed. I think the more a pet can keep to it's normal routine the happier and less stressed pets can be which I think is what all pet owners look for when looking for pet care.
A typical day
I will always plan pet activities and outings based on the owners preference and guidance. If pet owners are comfortable with their dog visiting new parks and going on fun walks I can research parks in your area that would be fun new places to check out. For cat owners I know some great ways to engage with kitties and get them a little active throughout the day. For dogs I have fun puzzle toys to play with them (cleaned before each visit) to keep them entertained if the weather is poor outside.
