I've had dogs in my family since I was born. I raised my current dog when he was a puppy. I've worked with and for my neighbor who has her own pet sitting business. She's given me the jobs she couldn't handle when she was too busy to do on my own along with taking me with her to help if she had multiple dogs. I always make sure I meet the pet with the owner before the owner leaves to make sure the pet is ok with me and I take notes on specific care requests/requirements. I do other pets too!!
