Pet care experience
I currently foster for Gainesville Pet Rescue and used to foster with Phoenix. I am a "foster failure" with my little fur baby, Zeke! I have had pets for my entire existence (all kinds - including ducks, cows, and horses to name a few) and have been pet sitting for about a year. I grew up on a ranch in the country, and all of our pets were treated like family; a trend I have continued in adulthood. I'm a perfect option for when you want to do a weekend get away, or want to go for dinner and a night out during, but don't want to have to worry about time spent away from your pet. **For in overnight home bookings (mine or yours), I will have my dog with me; I never leave him alone for longer than 4 hours. He comes to work with me, and I dedicate most of my free time to him. If you have a slightly temper-mental pet that doesn't get along with others, we could still do something short term, as Zeke has a doggy best friend down the street who he plays with :) I have honestly never met a pet that I couldn't get along with or win over, try me out!

Lastly, of course would need to know that they are up to date on everything, have any allergies, fears or special needs :) My vet told me that I treat my dog better than most parents treat their children, and I would do the same with your pet!
A typical day
Depending on what your dog likes to do, we'll go for walks around Depot Park and to the farmers market downtown where we'll socialize with the downtown crowd, or just around the quiet bed and breakfast neighborhood and NE dog park concluding in a quiet couch and cuddle up evening - really just depends on what your pet is comfortable with. My vet has told me that I treat my dog better than most people treat their children - seriously.
