Hello fellow dog parents! I was a Rover dog sitter/provider in MN and recently moved to the Navy Yard here in DC. I would love to care for your dog(s) while you are away traveling. Your dog(s) will enjoy spending time with my two well-behaved Aussies. Both ladies are seniors and enjoying their best lives! Maya is 8 and Portia is 10. We walk twice a day and enjoy a large grassy area to play in. My building also offers a rooftop grassy area for quick breaks or when the weather isn’t ideal. I work full time but spend most of my time before and after work with dogs 💕 We subscribe to BarkBox so we have new treats and toys monthly for your pet to enjoy! I fostered dogs for a rescue organization for 3 years, so I am very comfortable with various breeds. I am also very familiar with dogs who need to take medication, should your pooch fall under that category (no additional fees). I love taking photos to send to you to keep you informed of all the fun. I don’t shy away from large breeds. I feed each dog separately to ensure every dog feels calm and relaxed during breakfast and dinner. And I focus on safety, dog tags with phone numbers secured to your dog’s collars. I have a Jeep so please let me know if you would like to add pick up or drop off for an additional $10 fee each way. Tonya was simply amazing and cannot recommend her more! She watched our two border collies for two weeks while we we took a trip abroad. We felt completely at ease as soon as we did our meet and greet as she took extra steps to make sure our dogs all got along. During the trip, she sent us multiple pictures and videos every day. We adored her and both of her dogs. We will definitely book again in the future!
We are so glad we found Tonya on Rover. She is simply the BEST! She cared for our Golden for 10 days over the holiday and put us at ease while we were out of state. Phoebe developed a ear infection prior to drop off, but Tonya handled it gracefully. She administered meds as needed and dealt with the 'side effects' as well. She sent updates and pictures which we really appreciated. Phoebe got along well with her dogs and having the huge backyard to run is awesome. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that Phoebe was being well cared for! Highly recommend Tonya!
Tonya was AMAZING! She loved up on my two shih-tzu's as if there were her own. She sent pictures, videos, and updates multiple times per day! It doesn't hurt that she has a HUGE fenced in backyard for your pups to run and play. If you are looking for a home away from home for your dogs, Tonya is your girl!

A typical day
Evening walks because who doesn’t love to go for a WALK. We walk in the AM and PM. Dogs are welcome on the bed and on the furniture.

Availability
I work from 9-5pm daily. Potty time is around 6am and a walk before work. After work, we have dinner, potty break, and a walk. And another potty break before bedtime. Our evenings at home consist of dog walks and play time. Weekends are usually spent walking along the water or at the large grassy area nearby.
