About Moss

Moss is a sweet, bossy little girl who came from Spain to live with Tonya. She LOVES to run and play. She is insecure around new friends (human and four-legged) so new meetings need vigilant monitoring.

  • Sex: Female
  • Age: 4 years, 2 mo. old
  • Weight: 50lbs
  • Breed: Greyhound
  • Tracking Chip: No
  • Spayed: Yes
  • House Trained: Yes
  • Gets along with children: Yes
Moss is often around children and does well with them. Kids love watching Moss bounce around the yard, throwing her own toy for herself and spinning figure eights to catch it mid-air. Moss is still a puppy and learning how to be around kids. Recently she stayed four days in a home with a 5 year old and a two-year old, and she was fantastic. Still, Mommy is wonderfully attentive to dog behavior when kids are around and constantly monitors kids' interactions with Arley & Moss. No matter how sweet a dog is, a dog is still a dog. So, Mommy enjoys gently coaching kids (& four-leggeds) on how to be in the same space together--how to know when it's alright to play and how to know when someone needs a break.
  • Gets along with other dogs: Yes
Moss is thrilled to play with other dogs. She gets excited and might get a little bossy, but Mommy is working on making sure she doesn't turn into the fun police.
  • Gets along with cats: Yes
One of Moss's BFF's is her brother Mo the Cat. Hugo the cat also comes to visit alot and Moss does well with him, too. She even acts a little bit like a cat sometimes... maybe picking up on big brother's behaviors every now & then.

About Mo

Mo was found as a 2-3 day old kitten, alone in a bush! His eyes didn't open until several days later. We bottle fed him and he has really only had dogs as companions. I also toilet trained him for 3 years (failed attempt) & finally gave up this summer (2017). He is a much happier cat now ;) BUT, he can be unpredictable!!!! He will act nice then turn around and be an ass! Since he will be hungry, he might be nice and affectionate when you first get here. He ONLY likes to be petted around ears and jaws and collar area. But READ his cat signals! He will roll over on his back for you but it's only a trap to try to get you to run his belly so he can play fight you. But he has claws and teeth. Just let him warm up to you on his own terms. He's not very affectionate. He does like to chase hairbands if you slide them across the floor for him. I left a stack on his cat tower.
