Tony is wonderful! I needed my pets fed and given a break, and she was very dependable. Everyone was very well cared for, and we are all so appreciative!

40+ years of dog-loving experience.

I like to establish a regular routine with owners. Examples: 1) Tuesdays every other week. 2) Every 3rd Friday. 3) 2-3 days a week. 4) Every weekday. Sorry to say that I am not available at a moment's notice. I'm a caregiver for a disabled family member and require prior arrangements to be made. Minimally, at least the day before a visit is needed.

What Tony would like to know about your dog

A Meet & Greet appointment prior to visiting new dogs is required and can be about a 15-30 I minute introduction (or longer) at your home to meet you and your dog(s). At this time we discuss yours and your dog's needs, and how I will be accessing your home.

I have no breed preferences. I do require the dog to be comfortable on a leash and having me in your home. You are responsible for your dog's meds and/or shots being up-to-date. Of course, I'd like to know if your dog plays well with others, spends time outdoors frequently, is a noisemaker, has separation anxiety, and anything else that might affect how we interact with each other and the neighbors. Similarly, I'll want to know about your home and rules for the dog. If you have specific details you want me to follow, please provide a checklist or some other documented format. If I'll be driving the dog somewhere, you'll need to provide a travel crate. I can tie it down to anchor points on the floor of my van (seat belt for smaller crates) for your dog's safety.

I'm happy to follow your feeding routine, do minor grooming, give meds within reason, throw the Frisbee (semi-skilled), reinforce your training, and of course take your four- or three-legged companions for walks.

Neighborhoods are okay. I prefer the parks and other green places. Dog parks are fun and good places for dogs to socialize, though I'm always aware that some dogs don't play well with others. I love giving treats, so I hope they will be allowed, but, if not, we (the dog and I) will come up with something else fun.
