I have worked with dogs for over 12 years. I have worked in animal shelters, service dog facilities including whelping team(newborns), in training, veterinary assistant, a boarding and doggie day care facility, and more. My family and I also volunteer doing pet therapy at a nearby nursing home with our dogs. I do pet sitting full time so I am home with your dog(s) most of the day if they are boarding with the occasional running out for drop in visits, walks or personal obligation. We have dogs of our own and sometimes foster dogs, so your dog will always have someone to play with. Due to this, the dog(s) must also be friendly with other dogs and be up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordatella and on a flea and tick preventative. They must also be spayed/neutered if over 6 months. Your dogs will be treated as if they are our own! Earliest drop off/pick up is 8am, latest is 8pm Monday-Saturday, and earliest drop off/pickup is 9am, latest is 5pm on Sundays. There are no pick ups or drop offs on major holidays. About this sitter: Hello! I have worked with dogs for over 12 years. Between that and all the skills I have picked up over all the years of working with animals, I am very comfortable with what I do and I would love the opportunity to show you and your pet the same! *I will be moving out of state the middle of April, so I would be more than happy to offer drop ins or walks for your pup, but it just won't be long term. Why I love dog sitting I have always been a dog lover. I have had dogs nearly my entire life. I work with them and enjoy every second of it. My family also fosters dogs and we are use to numerous dogs being in the home and manage it well. Availability Your dog will be given tons of love and attention! I do dog boarding in my home any day of the week. I also offer 30 minute drop in visits in your home which are potty breaks, feeding breaks, etc. And I offer dog walks from your home as well! Drop ins and Walks are within a 5 mile radius of Port Jefferson Station. Pets who require medication/injections are subject to an additional medication administration fee. I cannot take in any dogs whom are not fixed, unless they are puppies up to 6 months and are not markers. If your dog is boarding in my home, dogs must be comfortable(not excessively barking or trying to break out) in the crate or a large pen as well. I have personal obligations and appointments(meet and greets, drop in visits, walks) here and there, so for their safety, they do go in the crate or pen. I also cannot accept excessive barkers, so if your dog is a barker, please be up front about it, as I do have neighbors. I do not do drop offs/pick ups on major holidays(Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, etc.) so arrangements for drop off/pick up would need to be done the day before or after. Earliest drop off/pickup is 8am and latest drop off/pickup is 8pm, except Sunday: earliest drop off Sunday is 9am and latest pick up is 5pm. I have appointments throughout the day and my own personal obligations so I do ask that you please honor the time you say you will pick up and drop off otherwise I cannot guarantee I will be here when you arrive. For boarding, if drop off is in the morning, and pick up at the end of the stay is in the afternoon or evening, a $20 daycare fee for the 1st dog and $10 each additional dog, will be added. For example, if you drop off at 9am and pick up at 9am, there is no additional fee. If you drop off at 9am and pick up at 1pm, you will have the added fee. I also offer pick up and drop off services within 5 miles of Port Jeff Station for $15 each. About my yard I have a fenced yard with plenty of room to run and frolic. There is a long set of stairs to the backyard so dogs must be comfortable with stairs. We also have kiddie pools we fill everyday for the pups to play in during warm weather! They love it!
