Pet care experience
I’m Tonia! I live in North Portland with my husband. We both work from home due to COVID and we are vaccinated/boosted and COVID-safe. We’ve both had dogs throughout our lives and are responsible pet people. I also volunteer with Dove Lewis. I am a very astute observer of my own dog and will extend my close care to your pup as well. Our dog Dax is a dog’s dog. He loves them all, big or small, and even loves cats too (as long as the cat is well-versed in dog). Dax does best with dogs that want to play with him, as he can be annoying to dogs who aren’t ready to party.

First time boarding my pet and I'm super impressed with how the experience went! Tonia and Jason were able to take great care of my adopted dog with agression/dog reactivity with love and care. They sent as many pics of Kai as I asked for and more and even sent a cute little written summary on a card with him home. 10/10 would recommend. This couple is great with dogs and it shows. I currently work from home so your pet will get plenty of company and bathroom/walk breaks! I often go on a run during my lunch break and can run your dog then too if your dog is a running dog. If not, I’ll be sure to give your pup lots of walks and attention.

I think all details are good details, but I would obviously want to know if they are ok around other dogs and people, if they have any fears, if they have a tendency to run out an open door (flight risk) how much exercise they need, and the basics (like feeding, medications, your vet info).
A typical day
We have a nice backyard as well as a park nearby. Depending on your dog and what they need to be happy we could take walks, visit the park, play in the yard, or if you’re open to it (and it works for your dog) go hiking or to the coast. I used to run with my last pup, Wila and have a running leash/harness so if your dog is used to running with you I could do that too. (This is only ok for dogs over a year old in case you didn’t know.) We are also happy chilling inside on the couch!

Availability
Billing Cycle: **Each overnight billing cycle consists of a 24-hour period. Example: If you arrive at 8 am, check-out is at 8 am on your check-out date. Beyond the 24-hour cycle additional fees per pet: 1 - 3 hours: No fee 4 - 8 hours: $20 extra 8 - 12 hours: $40 extra 12+ hours: Full day extra *Late pickups beyond 2 hours are subject to the fees above unless arrangements are made in advance.
