I am an absolute animal lover and advocate for their lives because they all matter... I am bossed around by at least three dogs (we currently are fostering an adult German Shepherd) and four cats, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.... most of the time, lol! I have had personal pets since I was 18 (24 years) and have cared for tons of other people’s dogs over the years. I am and have been a foster mom for a local dog rescue group for more than five years, and I help network animals that are in need of new homes. I have experience in all behaviors and a lot of different breeds. I can give medications, do basic grooming and nail trims as well. We love puppies; as we usually foster young pups and get them potty trained and ready for their forever homes. I have two 18 year old daughters that have grown up rescuing dogs as well, and are experienced in basic pet care. They may help with drop in visits or walks on occasion and will be part of your pets care while in our home. My hubby loves dogs and will occasionally be assisting in care (play, feeding and letting out for potty), but he will mostly get to benefit from the extra slobbery kisses and fur! 🐾 Daycare and Boarding clients: We live in a bi-level style home and our home is very dog friendly with vinyl plank flooring in main living area. So we have easy cleaning for wet paws and the occasional accident. We have a huge fenced (6’ chain link) in backyard and friendly human and canine neighbors. Your dogs HAVE TO BE dog friendly and be able to tolerate cats, as we have four cats that are present in the home, although usually passed out on a bed somewhere. They keep to themselves and have safety spots in the house as well. The most important part of bringing your fur baby into our home would be that they need to be fully vaccinated (up to date with vaccinations, Bordatella and dewormed (If puppy). I will need proof of vaccinations either by having a copy of the record or being able to call veterinarian for confirmation. Because we foster puppies, we always need to keep them protected from illnesses like kennel cough and Parvovirus. Second important part of bringing your pet into our home is flea and tick prevention. We would also like to know your pet is on heartworm prevention, but it isn’t required to stay with us.
