Hello my name is Toni. I absolutely love all types of animals. My accommodations are great for animals, because I have a big backyard, direct access to a park, and no carpeting indoors! I currently have sweet shih tzus of my own and would have 10 more animals if my husband allowed me to lol. Years ago I used to breed shih tzus. I have always dog sat for my family, friends and neighbors from 2 days to 2 months, so my dogs are very welcoming. I can check on cats and watch them, but I cant board them because my husband has cat allergies. I will be married 30 years in June, so I don’t want to mess that up now lol. I am 59 and in great health. I stopped working for oral surgeons after unfortunate circumstances, including our daughter was critically ill and our house had flooded, and had to relocate. The blessing was, all my dogs were fine. Our dogs even stayed with us in our hotel for 4 months, even though our insurance covered boarding them. That would never happen because they’re part of our family. I Make homemade food for my dogs (chicken,turkey,brown rice,spinach,carrots,zucchini) and believe that has added to their health and lengthened their lives. According to my adult children I take better care of my animals than I did them! I recently went to Milwaukee to cat sit while my daughter was working out of town for 2 weeks. She was so happy I volunteered, because those are her babies. I lost my boy shih tzu last year of kidney failure. He was 14 and my best friend. So I know a lot about caring for senior animals. Since Gizmo has been gone I just have this need to care for and love more precious animals than I did before. I guess you could say I suffer from “empty nest syndrome” if that’s possible with animals lol. I don’t discriminate, I love large, small, old, young, healthy, sickly. It doesn’t matter because they all need to be loved and spoiled. I just feel fulfilled taking care of animals. Take care and God Bless, Toni (female)
