Pet care experience
I am a graduate student at UNM so my schedule varies — please reach out and I will get back in touch ASAP about availability! - I have over 12 years of experience with animal handling and care as a wildlife biologist, zookeeper, and pet owner. - I grew up with dogs of my own for 6 years. I moved to ABQ for grad school and miss their smiling faces, so I value any time I get to spend with dogs! - My schedule changes every week, but I am often available on weekdays or mornings/evenings! - I'm an avid runner and hiker and I love running with dogs, but I'm just as happy to just relax and pet older pups! - My oldest dog has congestive heart failure, so I have experience with special needs such as diets and administering pills. - I have experience with training animals so I know how important consistency is, and I'll do my best make sure dogs are as good as you expect them to be on the leash. - I love cats and other pets too, and have lots of experience caring for different kinds of animals.

Toni did a great job caring for our dog Chester. He really seemed to like her. She took him on walks and hikes, which he loves. She house sat in our home and left everything in order. I would definitely hire her again!

My dog is young and can sometimes be pushy with some dogs, so she does best with dogs who are high-energy or will let her know when they're done playing. Of course, I will supervise any play, and have space in my house to separate dogs if they need some peace and quiet.
A typical day
I have a friendly dog who loves to chase and be chased, but can also be sweet with smaller and older dogs. My backyard has high fences and tons of toys to play with, and I live next to UNM's golf course, a great place for walks.
