A Walk A Day, Keeps The VET Away!

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Tommi Jean. I've been around pets and livestock for as long as I can remember. I love animals of all shapes, sizes and breeds. My sister is a rescue / foster mom so I'm constantly around helping her out with the very same services being offered today. I volunteer with my daughter at the SAHS, so I will be very comfortable around your "fur babies". I can give 30-60 min walks, do drop-ins just to feed & play with the little guys. Did something suddenly come up and your worried about your pet getting the needed proper attention? No worries! - I am also a dependable / reliable overnight (house) sitter, as well as daily drop-in doggy care ... for those little "curve balls" life throws us sometimes. Thanx for your time and consideration, "Walking your best friend is an honor!"

Overall the cats were taken care of while we were gone. Unfortunately, the final day’s check in never happened, which resulted in a VERY full litter box and a ruined carpet that the cat peed on, which was the entire reason we hired a sitter in the first place.

Did a great job with our 5 fur babies. And the house looked better when we came back than it did when we left. Appreciate how she's was able to roll with some nervous tummies and accidents!

Information Tommi T. would like to know about your pet

*I would DEFINITELY like to know about ANY TRIGGERS that would cause them to be skiddish or uneasy &/or TERRITORIAL-that may put either them or the other dog(s) in danger (as well as the other owners and myself...) *Any history of anger issues in the past(towards people and/or other animals *Allergies or diet restrictions (cuz I luv to give treats and would hate to disrupt any routine or GOD FORBID get them sick?!!) Obviously i am to try and make EVERY FURRY VISITOR I have feel as comfortable and loved as possible, thats definitely a no brainer! Woth that being said...If you have a special-needs dog or a more a wiser pet currently enjoying their golden please let me know if there's anything extra or specific- no matter how quirky or weird you may think it sounds, don't worry!- I don't care?- if it helps ur fur baby to feel more at ease whenever I'm around, then twl me and IM ON IT!! My goal is to make them not notice that they're not at home with their owners(or that their parents are absent?) and help them to feel as comfortabl as they normally would whether it be out and about with me on a walk, relaxing with me at my place, or if I'm staying with them in their space- cuz I don't want to ever make them feel uncomfortable at all in any scenario. and not to worry...I really do not have any breed preferences - I love all animals!...I can only hope they feel the same??

A typical day

I stay in the crown Meadows area with a beautifully extensive GREENWAY TRAIL within less than 10 mins on foot nearby. Usually if my furry "client" friend is skiddish or territorial around other dogs (or a lot of people for that matter), then I definitely would just do a leisurely walk around the old neighborhood... It's just a nice quite little nook of the neighborhood where everyone looks out for everyone.(where I stay there's not a lot of animals around so when there is one out and about the neighbors tend to flock to it and want to give it attention... ) I know all the ins and outs of the neighborhood as well because I walk pretty much everywhere, even in this sweltering Heat! LOL But as I mentioned earlier I live very close to the recently developed Greenway Trail( that goes from LITERALLY one end of San Antonio to the other, so theres plenty of optins and adventures to get into!) So if I have a more rambunctious client, then we'll most likely give the more extensive hiking trails a try!... and if I have a leisurely or a senior/"oldie but goodie" or a very "special" furry friend with specific "needs" that have to be obliged- that usually calls for just a nice leisurely stroll - to keep from getting cooped up/ and a chance just to get out for a short bit and stretch their legs, & get some fresh air...then the beginning Trail is perfect for just that!...or maybe just play a nice round of fetch to get the zooming out?(or at least try to?! Lol) I haven't had much luck with dogs bringing the ball back but im determined to keep trying!! Lol Besides- either way, it's always fun to watch them skip after/hunt down that ball at any cost- even if they won't bring it back to me as energetically as they were able to chase the sucker down?!??! Lol Needless to say your pup will be happily exhausted, and ready to curl up with u for a much needed snugle fest rest when you reunite with your buddy(/ies)
