Animal lover through and through!
Pet care experience
I have grown up on my family farm and that is where I live now. I have always had a passion for all animals! I tend to connect to every dog I come in contact with because of my tender approach. Your pet will be loved as if they are right at home when they are under my wing and they will have all the room they can handle to run around on the farm. I live with one roommate who is also an animal lover. I have a convenient location right off of 32 and Route 70 that makes for a quick trip. Please let me know if you have any questions or special requests and I will be more than happy to accommodate! I look forward to talking with you about having your dog stay with me!

Tom is amazing! I have been using him for the last 2 years and Nala loves him and Daisy. They get along so well!
1 star! I ended up cancelling this booking on the first day during the drop off. Here is why. We had meet and greet with Tom about a month ago and he spoke well and I felt that he loved his dog very much and I also felt he could take care of my dog. I booked his services a week before the stay and we agreed on drop off times. On the day of the drop off I messaged Tom ahead of time, just confirming that I was dropping off my pet at the agreed time. No response. We show up a couple minutes before and text him/ ring his door bell, no respionse. So , we wait few more minutes and call him again. No response. Past 15 to 20 mins and i got nervous. So I called rover customer service to figure out my options. That’s when Tom shows up. No explanations as to what happened. 5 mins with him on the driveway, we felt he was ‘tipsy’ and i started feeling uncomfortable and nervous to leave my pet with him. I told him , I am going to cancel the reservation and then left! I was in tears as I had no backup plan. Miserable half hour.
I am giving a review of 2 starts for Tom because my husband and I were very disappointed with our dogs Tux and Copper’s stay. My husband had the meet and greet with Tom before the reservation. Everything went very well and we were very excited to have them stay there since Tom lives in front of a farm. The dogs were dropped off and Tom was friendly/hospitable every time I messaged him. Those were the positives about the stay. However, on our trip, I never once received any updates on how they were doing unless I asked. Not everyone cares about that, but we at least wanted a picture to show that they were doing well and having a good time. Tom let us know that he had a neck injury and was unable to take a photo of them. Not that big of an issue, but it was just a little odd. We were gone for a total of 9 days and it was just a bummer to not get any updates. The most disappointing part was coming to pick up our dogs. We were stuck in a very severe thunderstorm on I-95. I let Tom know right away that we would not be there on the time we discussed beforehand. He was completely fine with it and even said it was no problem. We were forced to get off 95 and make a detour where several trees had fallen. It was an incredibly dangerous ride back. We stopped for a little while with our 2 kids to let it calm down a bit and got back on the road. I sent Tom another message letting him know of our situation. Again, he was completely fine with it and I told him I would let him know as soon as we got back home. We finally arrive home and immediately my husband leaves to pick up our dogs. I messaged Tom at 8:50 and told him my husband would arrive within 20 minutes. He said, okay no problem. I then receive a message from Tom at 9:16 stating that it’s too late and he wants to know what’s going on? Very weird. I just told him my husband would be there to get them. He arrived at 9:18 to Tom’s house and Tom must have been messaging me while my husband was there. My husband gets there and calls me saying that Tom would not answer the door. He rang the doorbell twice. Still no answer from Tom. Our dogs (along with all of their belongings) were LEFT OUTSIDE. The fence was not a secure location because anyone could unlatch the gate. My dogs were just sitting there outside alone. My husband grabbed their things and put our dogs into the car. Tom would not come outside. Apparently, Tom was upset with us and felt it was okay to leave our dogs without telling us or asking if that was okay. Completely UNACCEPTABLE! We were both so confused why he handled it that way and just didn’t care about doing that. It was so ridiculous. I’m a dog sitter myself and I have never done this before. Not to mention, our dog Copper’s harness was torn to pieces and he never really explained what happened to it. This was the strangest situation I have ever been in with a dog sitter and we use Rover all of the time. We thought Tom seemed like a nice man from talking with him and doing the meet and greet. Apparently, if you upset him then he won’t mind at all about leaving your dogs outside. Really upset that it all happened that way with Tom. We plan to use our regular sitter for next time and don’t plan to use Tom again.
Tom was very easygoing and super friendly with our dogs. Whenever he had to change a pickup or drop-off time, he gave plenty of notice. He sent us pictures throughout the stay and the dogs seemed very happy when we picked them up after their stay. We will definitely be using Tom again!
