Dependable guy for your dog or cat
Pet care experience
I've had dogs and cats all my life since I was 5. I've also done a lot of fostering of kittens, puppies, dogs and cats. My last foster was a senior Jack Russell earlier in 2021. I walked him 3x a day, took him to the groomer, and got him on a diet that helps his skin issues. I'm a pro with kittens and cats and can also give oral medication as needed and trim nails. I can also give subcutaneous shots now as my cat Marcus was just diagnosed with diabetes. I give him shots twice a day so I'm very familiar with syringe dosages.
Reviews
Tom came over to meet our dog Mabel. She is a 7 and half year old Labradoodle and is very affectionate. She immediately took to Tom and he was responsive to her. We have just moved to the area and Mabel has had a few transitional / new house personality changes. Always outgoing and active, she has been much more reserved as she is getting accustomed to the new place. Tom was VERY patient with her and communicated professionally and with concern. He worked with her to overcome some of. her reservations when we aren't present and we wholeheartedly recommend Tom. We will be having Tom come walk her periodically when we are home so that they can continue to bond and to help her see him as a trusted ally. You can't go wrong with Tom...very dependable and professional.
Great sitter! His communication while walking out baby was frequent and direct, also made sure we got pictures of Chloe… thank you Tom.
A rather last minute booking, Tom was a good communicator, prompt and friendly, stopping in twice while we were gone for the day.
If you’re looking for a reliable caring dog walker or cat sitter, Tom is your guy! He is very dependable, going above and beyond expectations. He has fostered and rescued countless cats and kittens, including a momma cat that gave birth to a litter of kittens in his bathroom. He nurtured the kittens, bottle fed them, and found each one a good home. Tom has also fostered a senior dog when the owner became incapacitated. Walking him twice a day, taking him to grooming appointments as well as doctor visits. When it was clear that the owner was no longer capable of caring for the dog, Tom found him a new home. If you’re looking for a reliable, compassionate, cat sitter, or dog walker, Tom is the best!

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I would always secure a dog on a leash prior to taking him out on a walk. I would also be especially careful not to let out any cats or kittens: I'm used to that at my house as my cat Marcus tries to get out in the hallways.
Information Tom W. would like to know about your pet
It's important to know the demeanor of the dog -- and what to do, not to do and if the dog has any quirks. Also good to know feeding instructions, if any and definitely if there are any allergies.
A typical day
If there's time, I like to take dogs to the dog park where it's easier to play. Normally for regular walk, I usually spend a good half hour with the door.

Availability
I'm currently employed from home but not that busy so I have bandwidth early mornings, lunchtime, and evenings and all weekends. I could have more time if very close to where I live in Wilton Manors in the winter or NYC in the summer.
