Pet care experience
I truly love taking care of dogs and cats -- it gives me great joy knowing that I can lend a hand to owners while they are away. Also, ever since I can remember I always knew my career would involve working with animals. I live alone and would be the solo caretaker for your dog. I have more than 10 years of experience working with canines of all sizes, ages and breeds, from Chihuahuas to Pitbulls. I’ve worked at a doggie daycare and boarding facility where I had to care for more than 20 dogs at a time and I’ve also worked as a K-9 trainer. I’ve worked as a veterinary technician, bather, zookeeper assistant, interned at the New England Wildlife Rehabilitation center and volunteered at my hometown’s MSPCA. I’m an Animal Care Specialist and Pet CPR certified. I’ve completed a 10-day course at Hollywood Exotic Animal Husbandry & Training School in California and I have a vast knowledge and hands-on experience working with a variety of animals ranging from domestics to zoonotic, but my primary focus is dogs and cats. My welcoming and happy-go-lucky happy personality makes me a natural with dogs! I have a relaxed demeanor, but can take the lead when needed. I live in a 2-bedroom house with a good size fenced backyard that has a lot of space to run around and play fetch! I have dog beds in the living room and bedroom and if you’re OK with it, I also allow pups to snooze on the couch. My neighborhood is in the Conway area near Lake Eola as well as Lake Baldwin and Barber Park. If your pup stays with me, we would have daily walks or, if your pup plays well with others, we can also hit the dog park to burn off some extra energy! I’m home throughout the day so your pup will always be accommodated for daytime potty breaks and feedings. I treat every dog as if they were my own and you can be assured your pup will get lots of TLC during their stay! In addition to boarding, I also offer Doggie Daycare during the week Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm. A Meet-N-Greet is required either at my home or through FaceTime beforehand, but with daycare requests MUST person be in person only. Next provide K-9 training for those in need of assistance with obedience as well as behavior issues.

Information Tom P. would like to know about your pet
I don’t have any breed preferences, but I like to get important basic information such as the name and breed of your dog, if they are male or female and if they have been spayed or neutered as that does affect how other dogs will react around them due to their testosterone levels or if they are in heat. I like to know the age of your dog and if they have any special needs (seizures, arthritis, cushions, tumors), need any medication or if they are on a strict diet. It’s helpful to know how much exercise your dog needs and what their daily routine is like so I can adhere as close to it as possible. I also like to know if your dog is socialized as I like to visit the dog park if they are.
A typical day
We would have daily walks and if your pup likes to socialize, we can also head to the dog park to burn off some extra energy! I’m home during the day, so it’s easy to let your dog out for a quick potty break or just some lounging time in the backyard. I’m near Lake Eola, Lake Baldwin and Barber Park -- these are all areas we can visit regularly!
