Is it cliché to say that dogs are awesome? I find it hard to believe that anyone wouldn’t revel in the antics of a young pup, or feel awed by the wisdom and love in the eyes of an aging dog. I love their energy, their warmth, and their zest for life. I'm very friendly, sensitive, and empathetic. I take all concerns very seriously, and am an excellent listener--whether dogs express themselves audibly or through body language. I enjoy having fun, but I’m always at the ready in case of the unexpected. I’m highly capable of providing quality, attentive care for your pet. My home is open and spacious, with plenty of room to explore. I live near many parks that are new to me, so we both can enjoy a new adventure together. I live in Hyde Park, and I love the grassy fields and friendly people all around. There also seem not to be too many dogs around... so there’s open territory we can take over! I love nature, and I love to sing! The glory and wonder of creation never ceases to inspire me. I’m also passionate about exercise, especially running. I love racing with a dog, testing our endurance and keeping each other at peak speed! The rush of positive emotions I get from running is only matched by my passion for pups. Playtime is the other highlight of pet-sitting for me. My roommates and I don’t own any other pets, so we maximize each opportunity for tug-of-war, fetch, and other favorite games. We love to just mess around and have good, silly fun with our guests. I could play fetch all day, and love teaching tricks too! I often wish that I’d been born a dog, but the next-best thing is to pass the hours with a canine companion.

We went away for a several week vacation, and Tom was amazing with our fearful dog. Our dog has a disability, is fearful of strangers in her home, and can react with aggression when she is scared. Tom worked patiently with her and won her trust, allowing us to have a worry free vacation. We highly recommend using Tom as a dog walker and dog sitter!
Tom would be awesome with your pets! He has had cats and dogs his whole life and could be trusted to take care of them. His pets are happy when he takes them for walks and/or along with him on his daily jog.
Jeannette M Tom has been a caregiver for our beagle, Boomer. He walked, talked and ran with him. I trust him with all my pets!

A typical day
My schedule is very flexible, and I’ll adapt it to whatever’s best for the pup. Typically, we’ll go running once or twice a day if your dog wants to join me, and get a couple of good walks in as well. There will be playtime throughout the day, and I stay very consistent with mealtimes and bedtimes so the pup knows exactly what to expect. Running, walking, playing fetch, or any other games are fun for me, so we’ll never have a dull moment. Your dog might get a good laugh if I walk on my hands, and I’ll probably learn something new from him, too!
