Our dog, Crumpet, had a wonderful time at Todd’s! Todd sent daily pics and updates during his stay. Crumpet came home happy and content. We are so fortunate to have found Todd to watch our precious fur baby! ❤️
Always a great experience - just got back from a vacation, so nice having peace of mind when I know my Husky is with Todd. Thank you Todd!
Professional Knowledge and Love!
I have worked with quite a few dog daycare businesses, and also ran one for years. I'm a Certified Dog Trainer, and Schooled Dog Behaviorist. My concerns are not only the physical well being of all dogs, but their mental health as well! I have hosted many, many dogs in my home, and they are an important part of my life and career! I strive for dogs in my care to be, (or become) confident ...
What Todd would like to know about your dog
As a schooled dog trainer and behaviorist, I don't necessarily believe that certain breeds of dogs are more aggressive than others. Yes there can be a predisposition from the parent genes to offspring, but I believe temperament is mainly a learned behavior, and is molded by humans starting at a young age. In other words, if someone teaches their pup to be aggressive, the dog probably will become so! Most 'Fear Imprints' can happen to a puppy at a very young age as well, causing many types of fear based problem issues. I can not accept any dog that is aggressive toward other dogs or humans! I can help reshape behaviors, but not in the 'pack' situation. That is a training/behavioral issue, and needs private sessions. I recommend a dog that shows aggressive behaviors toward other dogs do boarding stays with a host that doesn't have other dogs! Then slowly be integrated back into a 'social pack' scenario with help of a professional. Also, I only accept neutered and spayed dogs (exceptions for dogs under 6 mo), and they must be current on all shots!
