My husband and I live in Capitol Hill with our 3 year-old German Shepherd/American Bulldog mix, Luca. Our two-bedroom apartment isn't huge, but we spend our weekends exploring nearby dog parks and going on hikes. We have become huge fans of Rover after finding excellent dogsitters for Luca, and we are now eager to 'repay the network' and take care of your pup! We know how stressful it can be to leave your pup(s) when you have to leave town, and we will treat your dogs like our own.
We both grew up with dogs in our families - Casey was my family's German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix and Shera was my husband's family's Dachshund. We are an active family, but can accommodate dogs that are more homebodies (I'm always looking for a snuggle buddy on the couch!).
Why I love dog sitting
I've been a dog lover for as long as I can remember! I grew up with a German Shepherd/Husky mix, and my husband's family had a Dachshund. We are both comfortable with dogs of all sizes.
About my yard
Unfortunately, we don't have a backyard, but we do take our dog on multiple walks a day and on the weekends, we take advantage of the great dog parks in the area (Marymoor, Magnuson).
We'd like to know about your dog's disposition - how it gets along with other dogs and with people. We want to know about eating, sleeping, and peeing/pooping habits, as well as favorite toys/games.
We ourselves do not have breed restrictions, though our apartment building does not allow several breeds in line with Seattle/WA State rules.
Here's where we'll take our walks
We enjoy walking around the Capitol Hill neighborhood and taking advantage of green space whenever we can - so in the neighborhood, that may include Cal Anderson Park, and outside of the neighborhood (on weekends) it might include Marymoor Park or Magnuson Park.
Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Your dog will sleep either on one of our dog beds in the apartment or in their travel crate - wherever they prefer!
