Avid Animal Lover at Your Service!

Pet care experience

Welcome to my profile; where I'm offering an array of dog (and any other animal; I wasn't kidding when I said I'm an animal lover - and an avid one at that!) care and friend services. I love new experiences, as well as working with animals one-on-one. I would like to humbly add that animals and I tend to share an almost intuitive connection to one another; and thus, I typically am able to detect their needs even sometimes before they express them. My love for animals is almost maternal; I will not ever neglect your pet(s) or their regular needs. Firstly, I will be offering 30-minute (or longer, upon negotiation; I am flexible) drop-in visits to your home to feed, spend time, and play with your pet(s). Again, animals genuinely bring me a vast amount of personal enjoyment, so this is more fun for me than anything else. Whatever you and your pet(s) require; I am there for the cause! Secondly, and lastly; I will be offering dog (open to other animals as well, within reason!) walking. I view this as a very necessary and vital part of your dog's life and especially their daily schedule; as, just with humans, dogs need their exercise and time in the fresh air; soaking up that glorious Vitamin D from the sun. I am open to nature trail walks and other random outdoor ventures; the outdoors and I are very keen on each other! I can offer 30-minute walks or even longer (up to 2 hours at a time!); again, we can negotiate those terms financially if and when they were to arise. I strive to be as flexible as I can to meet the needs of both yourself and your pet(s). In closing, I'd like to fill you in on some specifics about myself in regards to this industry and my overall personal experience with it: Having a sharp eye for detail, I am very adept at remembering and administering various schedules, routines, feeding parameters, and the like. I am very responsible not only with myself and your pet(s), but also with regards to our environment; when your pet(s) need to release their bowels in public areas, I'm ready and willing to take appropriate measures to clean it up safely and responsibly. I've cared for and pet sit for a variety of different animals, including fish, parakeets, dogs (both large and small), reptiles, turtles, cats, rodents, and even plants (those count as living creatures in my book too!). Everywhere I go in my daily life or otherwise, I am always eager to meet and connect with creatures, large or small. I enjoy the outdoors immensely and am quite active in my regular life. I do not shy away from challenges, and at times even welcome them! With animals, caring for them comes naturally to me; being their buddy is just a bonus! When visiting your home (if that is something you'd like or need), I am again very attentive to details and will take active measures to ensure your home is securely locked during and upon leaving my shift(s). What I think sets me apart from other sitters and walkers the most is my desire to connect with your pet(s). It's more than just "a job" for me; it's so much more. Animals bring me so much comfort, joy, and inspiration; and you'll find I am a great fit for this line of work. I know it can get grueling living here in Northern California; allow me to lighten your load and to provide the care your fur babies (and non-fur babies) truly deserve. Thank you for reading and I look forward to meeting you and your adorable critter(s) one day soon!

Tina is the best cat sitter we have ever had. Not only highly communicative but did all of the things both asked and unasked. Our cats brush was cleaned! She’s great and we will use her exclusively for our times away from home

Tina did a few drop-in visits for our two cats over the holidays. She was super communicative with me in the days leading up to and throughout our trip, letting me know exactly when she would be stopping by the house each day. When she stopped by to meet the cats prior to our leaving town, she asked thorough questions and made sure we had a game plan in place for any issues that might pop up during the trip. We had a risk of flight delays on our return home due to weather and Tina was great about checking in and making sure the cats would have what they needed, even if we couldn't get home on time. We came home to two happy, non-stressed, and well-fed cats, which is all we could ask for!

Tina took care of my babies while I was away for a couple days with family obligations during the holidays. She is responsive and intuitive to my dogs needs. They are both very different and she quickly figured out how to give them individualized and differentiated care that satisfied everyone’s needs. Dependable and reliable - that’s what gives me peace of mind when someone cares for my pups. Tina has everything you need in a trusted pet sitter.

Safety, trust & environment

Whilst caring for pets in your home or outside the home (for walks, potty breaks, dog park meetups, etc.), I constantly strive to protect the safety and wellbeing of my clients. Whether that means obeying and practicing safety precautions while crossing intersections, watching for aggression in any nearby dogs, communicating leash demands or otherwise per owners' requests, monitoring them during meetings with other dogs at dog parks, feeding them, playing with them per owners' requests, etc.; I do it all. I am very protective with all creatures, and ideally like to form a bond of trust so your pet(s) can feel as comfortable as possible with someone new in their world. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any concerns, requests, or preferences as they arise!

A typical day

A typical day for me as a pet sitter would be perhaps dropping in on Client X, a 4 year old pitbull. I feed him, have some pet/belly rub/play time; then it's time for his walk. We like to either take the owner's requested route(s), or (with the owner's consent); we may switch things up and try a new direction to head in. During the walk, we may go to a neighboring dog park and mingle with like-sized or larger (per owner's OK) dogs to get some added stimulation, exercise and enrichment in. *Please be advised, I will never off-leash your dog(s) without your prior consent or a small discussion of such ahead of time. Some of my clients have participated in dog park meetups without a leash, and they only remained without a leash for the duration of play time. Otherwise, all dogs will remain leashed in public settings everywhere else outside the home/apartment.* The walk time closes out and it's time to head back home with Client X. I unleash him, we may have a little more play time, and I may fulfill any other small misc. tasks the owner may have, making sure all is recorded and up to date via the Rover app so the owner has total peace of mind. I will then wrap up my shift, being sure to lock up accurately upon my departure. Depending on the rest of my schedule that day, I may either head home or onto something else; or head straight to my next clients' home. All in a day's work as a petsitter!

I am a person whom loves peppering their daily regular routines and habits with all kinds of activities and business ventures. I am a planner as well and can easily integrate your pets' care and needs into my schedule; with the right fit. I like to remain openminded about my clients and their owners' requests. It's always a fun new adventure for me! Another added bonus I bring to the table is I am open to the possibility of long-term care or adding my client/owner routine to my own routine so they can be a repeat client. I am flexible and always available to negotiate and tweak things as we go! Let's help each other; whilst also giving your animal babies the best care they deserve.
