I grew up with dogs and cats. My mom in particular could never turn down a request to lend a helping hand. So, I was frequently recruited to help foster and sit dogs. As a student in NYC, I also sat for several families on the upper east side, frequently taking dogs to central park to fetch and exercise. I am currently preparing for medical school, which starts in the fall, and continuing with my volunteering obligations. My position at CHOP ended in May, so I'm very flexible and motivated. When house-sitting, I carefully follow any and all directions provided by the dog parents. When walking and boarding, I prioritize safety and generating a trusting bond with the dog, using the skills i've developed overtime with both easy and challenging pups.
