Pet care experience
Hello, My name is Tijmen, I am 25 years old and have had a passion for animals all my life. I have completed a three year education called animal caretaker wildlife in the Netherlands. I have also done 4 extra courses during this education that made me a certified animal caretaker for reptiles & amphibians, fish, birds and mammals. During my education in the netherlands I also worked part time as an animal caretaker at Apenheul, a zoo that specialises in monkeys. Also i've done multiple internships at a reptile resque (Reptielenopvang Zwanenburg) and Mecske Zoo in Hungary. Before doing this education I spent a year in Australia, where I worked as a full-time veterinary assistant for 6 months. Other than working jobs involving animals I've also grown up with animals around me. Including chickens, incubating guinea fowl eggs and raising them to adulthood. but also dogs, cats, reptiles, fish and birds. I recently moved to germany to live together with my partner.

I live in a relatively small apartment with no garden, but there is a big park right outside the door available for walks and outdoor time. There is also a forest a bit further away but still in walking range. I don't usually walk dogs off the leash unless the dog has exceptionally good recall or if we are walking in an area where it is safe to walk off leash.

Please let me know the breed, age and usual walking schedule of your pet. Also if your dog has any special needs, allergies or habits that i should take into account. Other than that I would like to know the regular routine of your pet (walking times, feeding times, medication, etc.) so i can keep this as close to normal as possible to prevent any unnecessary stress. Favourite food and excersise requirements are also appreciated.
A typical day
I love being active with the animals I have in my care. I always have a lot of fun playing games and walking in the big park near my apartment. I am also happy to groom and wash dogs.

I recently moved to germany and have a part time work from home job, I am usually available for pet sitting all days of the week. I am an educated animal caretaker and there is nothing i enjoy more. Animals always come first for me. I live together with my partner but she is often not at home and will not be assisting me with care.
