My mother surprised me with a puppy when I was ten years old and the rest, you can say, is history! I can still remember the feelings of love, shock, joy, and a little bit of fear looking into those precious eyes––and I think that’s the first time I really thought about another being besides myself. Growing up with dogs definitely made me the adult I am today––not just a huge animal lover, but a responsible, compassionate, and trustworthy individual. I’ll never forget that feeling of unconditional love and happiness when my first puppy crawled into my lap and went to sleep, and since then, I’ve committed myself to working with and for dogs. I’ve worked as an emergency Vet Tech, at a doggy daycare and training facility, as a pet sitter, a dog bather, and at Petco. You name it, I’ve done it. I have many years of professional and personal experience caring for and loving our furry best friends. Now that I’m older and have accrued a myriad of skills, why not be my own boss. I’ve had dogs and various different pets in my life for the past 20-plus years. As a professional in the petcare industry, I’ve been exposed to all kinds of breeds, ages, sizes, and temperaments. I sincerely love all animals and am completely comfortable in different scenarios––whether it’s continuing puppy training, to special needs animals, to senior care. As a former emergency Vet Tech, I am dog CPR certified and am skilled at administering medications. I know leaving your furry best friend with a total stranger is a huge leap of faith, but I have a long resume of skills and references. But the true test is when I meet your fur baby, and you see how immediate the bond is. I work from home, so my schedule is totally flexible and open. I take one client at a time, so you can rest assured that my attention will be focused on your pet. Not only will I offer peace of mind, but affectionate companionship as well. I always bring toys and treats (approved by you, of course) with me, and I do my best to get to know each and every pup as if s/he were a part of my own family.

We left our 2 precious babies with Tiffiney for a week, and couldn’t be happier with the care she provided. Our older dog has several health issues, including diabetes, and she knew exactly what to do! We will definitely use her again, and will now be known as Aunt Tiffiney to our Miguel and Ginger!

I treat every pet as though it were my own. But rest assured, I follow any schedules given for your individual pets needs. I am skilled in many training techniques, but only use positive reinforcement in my home. And will never speak or touch your pet in anger. I use redirection instead of punishment, and touch (petting and massage) to reward.

I highly recommend a meet and greet so we can all get acquainted in person. This is a wonderful opportunity to make sure each party is comfortable as well as answer any questions that might not be covered by phone call or text. I’ll make notes to make sure all your dog’s needs are met. When I meet a new pup, I get down low to their level, trying not to make too much eye contact then I use a friendly voice and introduce myself. If they are still wary, I will tempt them with treats with your approval. Please let me know if they have a special diet or on any medications. It’s also helpful to know a bit about their personality and general temperament––so I can avoid certain triggers. I’m punctual, loyal, and reliable, and I’ll make sure to keep an open line of communication. I’ll send regular updates and you should also feel free to check in anytime. If you book multiple overnights in a row, I will give your pup a bath and a brush for free. That way you come home to a clean pup. I only accept spayed or neutered pets. I accept aggressive, and fear based aggressive dogs. No dog breed is excluded from my service. Cats are also accepted. I also understand life happens and it can’t always accommodate your pup, so don’t hesitate to contact me with last-minute requests.
A typical day
As much as I love animals, I really adore being out in nature. I try to stay active and like to go on long, meandering walks especially at dog beaches. Whatever your dog enjoys doing, I’ll make sure we get all that in and then some. So many activities open up with a dog by your side, so I’ll be happy to go on some adventures if your pup is game! We’ll also spend every night cuddling while watching TV or reading a good book.
