Hello! Woof! Dogs are best friends, companions, cuddle buddies, and best of all they are family. First and foremost, I cater to the dog's needs and owner preferences. I am a Michigan State University graduate with a degree in Animal Behavior & Neurology. I currently work full time as a Behavioral Consultant for an Animal Welfare Organization as well as assisting a Veterinarian team with basic medical and handling needs. I have experience with all sizes, breeds, behaviors, energy levels, tennis ball obsessions, puppy training, and dogs with special medical or physical needs. *As an animal professional I am able and willing to work with pets that require more attention, special care, specific handling, or those that just need a friendly face to be around. I am trained in basic canine CPR and medicating. I have a rescued several dogs (currently have 3 at home) and treat them like my fur-babies. I enjoy taking them for hikes, going on various adventures, training them new tricks, lounging in the yard, providing them with mental enrichment, cuddles (of course), and just finding ways to make them happy. Building a confident and positive relationship with my pets is a priority. All dogs are individuals and their needs and wants differ. When I meet and care for a new furry friend I listen, get to know their needs, and meet those needs while creating healthy boundaries and mutual respect. I believe because of my education, compassion, and experience I am able to care for animals exponentially well. I live in Kalkaska but travel to Traverse City daily.
