Pet care experience
I have had several dogs and cats throughout my life, though am currently petless. I am experienced with puppies, middle age, senior dogs, and pets requiring medication. I recently have taken a day job and will only be doing Rover part time. My day job is semi-work from home but may require me to leave for several hours during the day. I am not able to take on clients requiring constant care, but would be happy to be present for feedings and during the night. Here is a summary of my services: Drop In’s: This is when a pet doesn’t need to walk, but just needs to be let out briefly to potty, fed/water, spend some time playing with them, etc. I often do this with cats, and dogs on occasion. I can also do this with other types of pets as long as they are within Rover’s terms of service (Rabbits, hamsters, etc). House Sitting: If you choose house sitting, I would bring a suitcase and stay there while you are away but may have to leave for up to 5 hours at a time. My intention would be to continue your pet’s schedule, walks, feeding, playing, just as you do, and any small house needs such as watering plants, bringing packages inside, etc. I am completely open to dogs snuggling on the couch or sleeping next to me. That’s something you just won’t find at any boarding facility. I am currently not offering certain services requiring use of my home, such as pet day care, but I’m glad to travel where needed in the northern Jackson area

When I’m in a client’s home, I often relax and read books while a dog or cat lays next to me. I try to take funny pictures, but some pets are always a “blur” on camera. I will never have anyone else over without prior permission, I stay within privacy boundaries. I do require internet access for the work-from-home portion of my day job.

For dogs- I want to be prepared for how different they are to control on a leash. If they are all energy and muscle, are there certain commands they will listen to? Are they harnessed?
