Pet care experience
I first began pet sitting at the age of 15 with my sister's 1 year old boxer and to this day I assist with his geriatric care. In the past 15 years I've cared for big dogs, small dogs, old dogs and young ones. The bulk of my pet care experience comes from my best friend who I began by pet sitting but when she developed temperament issues and needed to be an only, I was blessed enough to take her in and spend 7 amazing years together until she was 14 years old. In that time I was able to work on her training and temperament quite a lot but I also learned a variety of handling methods for issues that were not trainable.

Thomas did an excellent job! Stayed at our house (4) days and watched our (2) +100 lb dogs. Walking them daily and sending us pictures throughout the long weekend. On top of that, our dog went into heat the day we left, Thomas didn’t skip a beat and took great care of our dogs. We returned to a clean house and tired dogs. Will definitely book again!

While my first priority is keeping your pet safe, keeping them happy is a very close second! I find that while things like direct supervision and leash control are imperative to keeping an animal safe, the easiest way to keep them from trying an escape in the first place is to ensure they feel safe and cared for just like when the rest of their pack is there!

A typical day
I find that the best way to keep a dog out of trouble is to exercise both their physical and mental energy. As such your fur baby and I will enjoy long walks on varied routes; even a possible hike! At home we'll spend some time playing any of your pets favorite games, and continue on any training regimen you've established, and even take some time to work on a new trick or 2! I do particularly well with hyper-active dogs, but I sure love snuggles too!

Availability
I recently was able to step back to part time work with the goal of devoting more time to pet care; if I'm ever able to I would love to do it full time! Currently I do work in the live music industry which means during the day I'm home to give pets all the attention they could want (and maybe a it extra), then after dinner and a walk I pop out to work for not more than 6 hours at a time. Ultimately for me pet sitting is a treat, and I aim to spend as much time bonding with and spoiling your fur baby as I can.
