Pet care experience
I work from home, so as long as you have a good internet connection I can stay at your house through the entire stay (exception: going home to grab lunch, school class - I take one class per semester, or to feed my own cats). My wife has been an RVT for the last 15+ years (not me, pardon any misconceptions), both my brother and sister-in-law are veterinarians (mainly small animals and wildlife), and I can provide nearly any medical care for your pets. Our animals have a myriad of medical issues, so there is nothing that I haven't seen or done. In no particular order, I am experienced in: oral medication (both hiding in pills and actually pilling) injectables fluids nail trims grooming aquatic animals older, arthritic animals Note: There may be a small surcharge for pet sitting North of Santa Cruz (depending on the days of the week). Thomas is great with both dogs and cats! He has many years of experience caring for animals with a variety of needs including different types of diets and medications. He understands the importance of exercise, environmental enrichment, and social interaction for dogs. He is responsible, organized, dependable and genuinely cares about the human-animal bond.

I can work with any animals, but of course you would want to let me know: • their level of socialness (ie: will they hide the whole time, and if so it may make sense for me to not be in the home all day so that they're not nervous, scared, or otherwise not themselves.) • what kind of medication, if any, they are on • how they normally act when you leave (ie: prepare me in the event that they are "not themselves" while you are away ... it's common) • anything special about your house that I need to be aware of
A typical day
Because I work from home I will be with your pets nearly all day every day with exception of taking care of my own pets or if I have a class. I am taking one college course each semester, so there will be approximately 3-4 hours a day where I won't be at the house with your pets. Note: Because I work from home, I need internet access. If you do not have access in your home or an available open WiFi (ie: neighbors) I won't be able to stay at the house throughout the entire day.
