Pet care experience
Hey there! I'm Theresa and my full-time job allows me to work from home everyday both pre and post COVID-19, so my schedule is very flexible and I'm always eager to have a little extra pet love during the day. I have always had a strong attachment to dogs since I cared for my own dog, a miniature Australian cavoodle, for 4 years before moving to university. I currently have no pets of my own, so your pet will receive 100% of my attention and affection. I have been using Rover as well as walking dogs in my building for over 5 years now, and I have experience walking/taking care of large dogs, small dogs, and many types of breeds. I have a soft spot for small curly haired ones like my own! To me, making sure your pet stays with their routine and are well loved, safe, and played with is most important!

Theresa is the best! She has watched my dog several times and he absolutely loves her. I have no worries leaving him with her at all, and I have a VERY anxious dog!
Theresa took such great care of my three month old puppy! I was very nervous to leave him with somebody for the first time and she put me right at ease upon our first meeting. It was clear she shows her animals love and gives them all the attention. Her partner was also wonderful with him. Couldn’t recommend more!

I live in a one bedroom plus den apartment so I have plenty of space to care for your dog. I’m available to take them for walks/potty breaks as often as needed.

If walking/drop ins: just how energetic your pet is, what they like to do, how much exercise they need! If daycare or boarding: Please let me know honestly to what extent your pet suffers from social anxiety and if they’re prone to barking or whining. My neighbors are close by so I cannot have any pets that bark/whine incessantly while alone unless you and I have previously planned for that and I can ensure I’m home the entire pet’s stay. Please also let me know how your dog does on walks - how friendly they are with passerby’s, how long they like to walk, how often, etc. It’s helpful to bring dog toys, bed if needed, snacks, doo doo bags, etc, as I don’t always have the biggest supply of dog stuff since I don’t yet have my own. But happy to make things work with minimal stuff!
A typical day
I love to go on long walks around the neighborhood and can (if your dog is comfortable) go to a local dog park! We’ll also do fetch, toys, etc at home if your dog likes those games.

Availability
I work from home full time, so my schedule is flexible. I’m available to walk and take care of dogs throughout the day. I am not home 24/7 due to errands, social life, etc. unless specifically planned for a doggy daycare for a dog that has severe separation anxiety.
