Pet care experience
I currently have a small dog sitting business where I have hosted dozens of dogs in the past few years. Our home is tranquil and calm, and I am here to love your dog like he was going to stay with your favorite family member. This is not a kennel or active daycare community. Pups chill, go for walks on our 3 acre property, sleep, eat, and snuggle on blankets, beds, sofas, and laps. I only watch a total of 2 dogs at at time, plus our resident sweet sausage, Louie, who is 15, but has a puppy heart. I am a work at home wife, so I will be here with your baby all day and night, providing meals, hugs, and love during their stay with us.

Theresa and her family watched our two senior dogs for 4 days while my family took a much needed trip to visit family over a holiday weekend. They provided a loving home and treated our dogs like part of their family and even got them in on their evening treat routine with their own dogs :) We received updates and pictures each day and we could tell they felt right at home and were more at ease than being in a kennel. Theresa will be the first one we check with next time we need someone to look after our pups!
Theresa and her husband were excellent with our dog. He became part of their family when he was there, and Theresa sent pictures every day. Our dog got along great with their two little guys.
Theresa did amazing job with our Great Dane. She provided daily updates and pictures. It was clear the first time we meet her and her husband - they were dog lovers. We'll most certainly use Theresa again!
This is the 2nd time that Nala has stayed with Theresa. She is an old dog with a lot of little quirks. Theresa is so good with dogs that she instinctivilly knows what Nala needs, likes, and does everything to make her comfortable and happy. There is no where else i would leave Nala, especially because of the extra care and time she needs; i am very blessed to have found "The Zen Den"- otherwise I wouldnt leave her. I am able to go away and not worry??

My husband and I love all dogs, all breeds. No discrimination there. We only ask that your dog be potty trained, well behaved (I cannot accommodate highly active dogs or dogs that bark all day. Moderately active is fine, playful is great! I only ask that if you have a larger dog, that he/she be on the calmer side) I can ensure that your dog will have a peaceful place to rest and relax while you have to be away from them. This is the anti kennel/boarding solution to your dog care needs.
A typical day
Our home is a sanctuary for calmer, older dogs. I will take any aged pup who is well behaved, but because my dog is older, young bouncy dogs are not the best match for him. During your baby's stay with us, they will get walks on the property as often as they need to go out, and indoors we play around the living room, but mostly we are here to eliminate any stress that comes with your dog being separated from you, and being left with a new person. Dogs are like children, and I will treat yours like my own while they are here.
