Super loving home in East Central Austin ready to welcome your babies with open arms. It's just me and my husband. Our beloved 14 y/o dog Nani Hoku recently passed away about 2 months ago. It's been a devastating time trying to adjust to the changes, the quiet house. We are quite ready to get a new furry family member just yet, but are ready to welcome some of yours into our home. Just a really peaceful house, great backyard and two loving humans. I understand the hesitations that can go along with boarding your pup while away and the comfort of knowing they are in a comfortable home with a loving family. I'm pretty sure I got worse separation anxiety than our dog, so I fully understand how important the peace of mind is, knowing your furry babies are well taken care of. Come over for some coffee or tea, meet the family, scope out the vibe here. Looking forward to meeting you and your littles. About this sitter: Married 7 years, both RN's, in our mid (to late ;/ ) 30s. Really laid back home environment, great yard to play fetch in, and tons of spaces to lounge. We'd love to meet you and your fur baby. Enjoy text updates and photos directly to your phone or through the rover site feed to get photo updates of your pups! My three loves are my husband, my beloved nani hoku, and yoga. Call us for a meet up!! Why I love dog sitting Forever!! But, I must say my true love for dogs developed when I met my baby 15 years ago,Nani Hoku. I don't remember my life without her. She truly has changed my life and shown me what unconditional love really means. We lost Nani this past October 2015 and it's the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. We opened up our home again to pet sit until I'm ready for my new family addition. About my yard Great backyard, chain fence, good amount of room to play fetch. Theresa, Cody and Nani were great caretakers of our sweet Loki and understanding of him and his issues. They were very attentive, patient and nurturing with Loki's many needs. We appreciated all of the photos and updates too and Loki looks forward to his next stay with them all again too.
I can't write enough wonderful words about Theresa's dog-friendly family! I was so impressed by her responsiveness and flexibility right from the start. The very first day, she sent photos of our sweet Maggie with the Stick n Find Tracker, and gave almost daily updates on what they were up to (including snuggling in a pile on the bed). It was obvious that they were spending tons of time together and really taking care with her. Mags was on antibiotics and had her foot wrapped from an injury, and I felt that Theresa was caring for her as well as or even better than I would. She is a reliable and compassionate human being. Theresa and her hubby were exceptionally understanding when Mags (a newly placed shelter dog) took out her separation issues on their beautiful home (sorry again, guys!). We were completely mortified and reimbursed them for the damage, but I was just so impressed that they handled it with such grace and compassion, and even offered to watch her again in the future. I highly recommend Theresa's lovely home and family to dog owners who want their dogs to be loved and cared for while they are out of town. Your dog will love it there!
Theresa, Cody and Nani provided a wonderfully nurturing and warm home for our Scout. While Theresa could not accommodate all of our original date requests, she went above and beyond to make a portion of the dates work and even picked up Scout at our house while we were gone. We received daily updates and pictures and a personalized photo and note upon pick up. We are 100% that Scout was loved and happy in a home that clearly adores dogs! We will definitely use Theresa and Cody again and highly recommend them to others who want a flexible, responsive and loving sitter.

Friendly with people and other dogs? We don't have children, but always good to know how they do with children. Any medical conditions or medication schedule? My husband and I are not only both nurses, but have had our fair share of medical issues with a 14 year old dog, so are very comfortable with giving both oral and injectable medications. Also, we ask that you please be honest about any potty training issues and/or behavioral issues. We unfortunately ran into some serious separation anxiety with a few of our furry clients that caused some major property damage. We are more than happy to accommodate any behavioral needs but need to know these things upfront so we can be prepared and accommodate as needed. :)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We can walk around the neighborhood and we can go to Mueller Park if preferred. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I could sleep with 10 dogs on my bed!! If your dog loves to cuddle, the happier I will be. I will always put your dogs bed on the floor right next to ours, and will welcome them with open arms if they would like to snuggle :) Time I'll spend with your dog I work 8-5 Mon-Wed and teach CPR classes here and there on my other days off so have a pretty flexible schedule Thurs-Sun.
