I would want to have a meet-and-greet between your dog and Dorothy before beginning any stay to make sure that they two of them get along. Once camaraderie has been established, I would want to know about any behavioral quirks your dog has, how they are around other dogs, and how they are around people. I would also want to know about their level of energy and experience hiking and exploring outside, and would want to know all about their typical routine and favorite activities (dog park, water, belly rubs, hiking etc.). Lastly, I would want to know if your dog is food motivated. I love giving out treats to help reinforce good behaviors and establish a strong bond.

I am usually free during the day, so I would have a lot of time to spend with your pup. My favorite thing to do in my free time is to go hiking at a forest preserve. I especially love to explore Starved Rock, and always bring my own dog with me on my outdoor excursions. I have a lot of energy, and I lead an active life; In my care, your pet would enjoy walks, playing fetch, and joining the two of us on our adventures. With your permission, I will take your dog to the dog park to exercise and socialize with other pups. I even know of a dog splash pad where I will take them to cool off on a hot day. At the end of a day, your dog will enjoy a bunch of attention and belly rubs to help them wind down.
