Hello Pet Owners- I am a Minnesota native and SCSU graduate. Currently working and pursuing higher education. I am forward focused, and have an active lifestyle. I grew up with many pets, dogs, cats, hamsters, various reptiles, and fish. Myself, being the youngest, was given the task for walking the dogs multiple times daily, and caring for our pets starting at the age of 8. I take pride in having well trained and cared for pets. My experience doesn’t just stem from childhood exposure. While in high school and college, I was the go to pet sitter, and I did a lot of private sittings (before rover existed), it worked great with my lifestyle and schedule. I have a strong love for furry friends, and open arms for all animals, all sizes. My goal is to help owners with giving their pet compassionate, affordable, and dependable services. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your pets while you are away, creating memories and much needed self care. I consider caring for a pet, like a member of my family. Its never easy to leave a pet behind while you travel, I am hoping to help with this transition, and allow you to enjoy much needed time with family and friends, enjoying life.

Theresa did another great job caring for our cat Frances. Frances can be a bit timid but I feel really good knowing Theresa is taking care of her. She leaves very thoughtful entries after each visit.
Theresa did a wonderful job taking care of our cat Frances. She always posted pictures and left detailed summaries of how the visit went. She also administered multiple medications each day and fit in some play time. This was our first time using Rover, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but it made our trip so much more enjoyable knowing that Frances was in great hands. We would absolutely use Theresa’s services again!
TLDR: Best In-Home-Sitter Ever, Daily video/photo updates, clean, friendly, accommodating, knowledgable. We’ve used Rover in the past, but our last sitter Theresa, has become our new favorite long term in-home sitter!! We initiated a request for a 12 day in-home sitter, she then followed up with some questions regarding our dogs, and she thought it’d be a good fit. I requested a quick call to discuss some of her questions, and some of mine directly, and it went quite well. I also requested she come by to visit the dogs to see how they reacted to her as one of our dogs have severe anxiety, and she had no problem driving to us to visit them. During the visit it was very apparent she knew how to handle dogs; how to act around dogs with anxiety, barking, oral medication, behavior correction or redirection etc… It was a match in heaven for us! She also stopped by the day before we left to make sure the dogs remembered her, and that was very reassuring to us that our babies were in good care. Throughout the stay, she walked both the dogs daily, worked on one of our dogs barking when he saw visitors, and managed to send daily updates with photos and videos! We were soo happy our dogs were being taken such good care of, and it was fantastic seeing photo’s and video’s daily while we were out of the country. We came back, to a clean house (just as we left it), cleaned sheets, clean dishes, empty trash, etc. Totally would use again!!!
FANTASTIC! Theresa did an amazing job while taking care of my senior dog! She was super flexible when we needed to leave early to avoid a blizzard, handled my dog's anxiety extremely well, and dealt smoothly with a major snowstorm! Theresa regularly sent updates (videos, photos, and written updates) and took amazing care of our home while we were gone. Fantastic sitter - I could not recommend her more highly!!!!

I am open to all breeds and sizes. I typically like to know basic info, as well as any triggers and things to avoid. (Other dogs, people, squirrels, cats etc) What is the dogs routine, as well as what the pet parent is expecting. It’s also helpful to know the pets typical reaction to the owners being away for a few days, in hopes to help the transition. Knowing daily routines for pets is very helpful, when owners are away.
A typical day
I love taking long walks and playing fetch, in all weather. I am a fan of going to local parks, as well as dog parks. Most neighborhoods have dog spots. When pet sitting, I inquire the dogs favorite places to visit, to ensure the best experience. I also love walking dogs multiple times daily to get their exercise needs met. Typically dogs enjoy being with someone and engaging in play. I’m up for whatever the dog needs.
