Pet care experience
Hi! I’m Theresa! I’m pet CPR and first aid certified. I am also human CPR, AED, and first aid certified. I went to Animal Behavior College to become a professional dog trainer. I have an Australian Shepherd named Penny who has a CGC title. I grew up with three cats of my own and raised a litter of 6 kittens so I love felines! I lived in Pensacola for 6 months and during that time I volunteered at my local shelter everyday. I cleaned the kitten room, managed dog play dates, and walked multiple dogs. I was in school for dog training so I applied what I learned in school to the shelter dogs. I trained basic obedience and a little behavior (Ex. Barking, leash pulling, reacting to other dogs) and then I see those same dogs get adopted! It’s a wonderful feeling.

Theresa was great with our dog Kai for a drop in visit. She arrived right on time for our meet and greet and for the actual visit. She communicated with me about how it went and sent pictures. You can tell she loves dogs. Hope to have her sit again for Kai!

I have a fenced in yard with some shade on my patio. I love when owners bring their dog’s favorite toys so that way the dog feels more comfortable since they are away from home.

I would love to know if your dog has previous training. As a former dog trainer, consistency is key in training so I don’t mind being shown how you would like me to walk your dog.
A typical day
I love to be recommended trails when walking dogs. This allows more adventuring and a happier walk because the dog is enjoying the new scents and scenery.

I am a full time camp counselor at a doggy daycare so I am available afternoons and weekends. I love meeting new animals as well!
