There’s the best, and then there’s the rest. Give your dog the very best, a vacation with me! Please note that I work from home so your pup will rarely be left alone! My entire life has been spent in the company of dogs and I wouldn’t have it any other way! As a child I grew up with parents who showed and bred Collies, so it really does seem like I have been training and showing dogs forever. My love and passion for dogs (and animals in general) led me to a career in veterinary medicine. I attended Medaille College in Buffalo and worked in practice for several years. I still work in the field but in a different way now, working for a pet insurance company. I miss the daily interaction with both dogs and clients and the relationships that were built from years of taking care of a clients family pet. As a result of my extensive veterinary medical background I’m comfortable with most any animal. I especially love the senior pups or dogs that need extra attention/have medical issues. I have no problems giving medications or even insulin. I also don’t have a problem with a dog who has behavior issues, however if booking in my home the dog MUST be dog friendly for the safety of my dogs and other clients. I offer pet sitting in either your house or mine. If your house I’m not going to charge you for any “extras” like some places, your house will be run as if you were home - plants watered, mail brought in, garbage taken out etc. If staying in my home please Know that my dogs are all very friendly and well behaved and great play mates for dogs of any age, size of energy level. I can also easily separate dogs if your dog is afraid of big dogs or small dogs etc. Think of your dog’s stay as their very own vacation. They will be loved, spoiled, and treated as one of my own. They can be left free in the house, gated in a room, or crated overnight, whatever they are used to and whatever is most comfortable and safe for them. You can also expect to come home to a happy but tired dog-there is lots of play time here. I have a huge backyard fully fenced in with 6-foot wood privacy fence. I also have cameras in the house to watch the dogs if I’m not home. Please also be advised I do have additional references I can share. Thank you for your consideration!
