Pet care experience
I have over 20 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds - dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, horses - you name it! I've loved that I've been able to make caring for animals a side gig. I've historically been a dog person, but fell deeply in love with cats over the past few years. As a recent foster failure, I now have three cats of my own. I would love the opportunity to care for yours when you're away - I'm almost always open for daily drop-in visits to scoop litter boxes or refresh food & water. That being said, I will never lose the special love I have for dogs, and nothing gets me more energized than a nice walk.

I have no reason to choose another sitter for my guinea pigs at this point. Tess is super responsive and sends lots of pictures when checking on my pets. They seem super comfortable with her and she takes better care of them than some pet hotels I've tried. Will 100% book with her again!
This is the second time Tess has taken care of my 2 guinea pigs. It was clear from the pictures they warmed up to her pretty quickly and I really appreciated the regular updates. No complaints and will definitely rebook her in the future!
This was my first time using Rover and Tess made it a great experience! She checked on my 2 guinea pigs while I was away and I was really happy to get pictures and daily updates. She took really good care of them and am definitely going to look to book her in the future!

I have a deep understanding dog and cat behavior thanks to my experiences as pet parent, dozens of Rover gigs, previous work in the doggie daycare industry, and volunteer hours at shelters. You won't find anyone more tolerant of sharp claws, slobber and hair :) I have experience administering oral and topical medication, caring for senior dogs, and accommodating for special needs like allergies, colitis, hip dysplasia, seizures, stitches/post-surgery, hemotomas, heat, mega-esophagus, heart conditions, and so on. I love dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sizes, and personalities.

Pets can be really sensitive to major changes in environment, and I know how stressful it can be to a dog or cat when a stranger barges in on their turf. I love to do Meet & Greet sessions before we book, because I want your creature to trust me and get to know me alongside you. This significantly eases their anxiety while you're gone, which helps to make our time together even better.
A typical day
I love the outdoors, so I know we'll both enjoy a good walk or playtime in the yard. That being said, I'll also never pass up an opportunity to cuddle on the couch with low-energy dogs or cats.

Availability
I'm a full-time Producer in a hybrid/remote work environment. Unless I'm on a shoot, this setup allows for lots of flexibility to take on drop-ins or walks. My weekends are also usually wide open.
