- Gary is a 5 year, 7 mo. old Greyhound in Wilmington, NC
Gary is a sweet and loving retired racing greyhound. He is so personable and just, like I said, so sweet. He is a very curious dog and, being so tall and close to counters, he likes to pull things off. He had a very successful racing career and is now a successful best friend to me. He is missing a toe on his right back foot, so don't worry if you notice it! It was gone already :)

He LOVES attention. Just be careful in terms of too much weight because he will snap a little if he feels threatened. He’s had kids hugging all over him though and it’s never happened. Just good to keep an eye on.
- Gets along with other dogs: Yes
He gets along with dogs. If they get too in his face then he does this snap type of thing but he’s never bit or hurt another dog. It’s more of a “get out of my face” kind of snap.
- Gets along with cats: Yes
He is more afraid of them haha. He does like to get right in their face to sniff them and will whine a bit but as long he is monitored there is nothing to worry about.
Like all retired racing greyhounds early in their transition, he should be kept with a muzzle when going out or being introduced to new dogs or new surroundings. He is not aggressive, but they do have a prey drive
